I also think he should have been dropped by the Virginia State Democratic Party from their list of endorsed candidates. It's too late to replace him on the ballot legally I'm guessing, but the party could have unendorsed him. From the research I've done there is no mechanism to remove a candidate from the ballot after early voting has begun. The steps one has to take to retrieve a ballot once early voting is underway also make it nearly impossible. The candidates for Governor and LT Governor have publicly condemned the action. There is no mention of him when they do interviews, make appearances, etc. recent mailings that I've received don't mention him. Once again, the person who released the texts kept them for 3 years before releasing them. Until after election ballots and early voting had started. That's a desperate move by the Republican Party. It's also says a lot about Jones' opponent IMO. Quote
