This tune is from back in 2022, but damn it still hits. Tony Louge came onto the scene and debuted with Calloway County. For a new artist to debut with a song like this, as will written as it is, so impressive. One of my favorite country songs of the 2020s by far.

New Megadeth. I know it’s probably not anyone here’s cup of tea, but it is an absolutely fantastic release for those of us who appreciate the heavier side of music. 
 

They are going out on top.  It’s solid start to finish. Because the two bands are attached at the hip, it’s better than anything Metallica released since the Black Album.

I listened to their Countdown to Extinction album recently, that was a favorite for years.  I heard a single of this upcoming album and in Megadeth fashion, it rocked.  I'll give it a try.    Rumors true about Mustaine trying to get a tour set up with Mettalica?

Apparently he wants to and it’d be the only way you could get me to pay to see Metallica these days. 🤣

Bugs Bunny, Mighty Mouse, some of the Disney stuff, all introduction to classical music back when we were a certain age. But then I'm old enough to remember the Young People's Concerts with Leonard Bernstein regularly as well.

Our radio station has one pair of tickets left for Cat Power this Saturday at Saint Andrew's Hall. 

 

I have offered them to on-air staff members first, but if they don't take them, would anyone be interested in going to see Cat Power.     She can be very very good - or things can go sideways, but I haven't heard that happening with her in a few years now.  Motherhood has calmed her storms a bit.

I have to say, yesterday at work i had the album version of this playing and it was a moment of pure zen.   It matches up to the alienation I have been dealing with in the current regime.  I can only imagine the impact on a dude in 1970 on his way to or in Vietnam.
