I know it isn't a huge sample size but I'm really not a fan of Robert Hagg so far

Copp! Finally. Great timing though. I think he was surprised it went in. 2-1 Wings with 3:50 to go in 3rd.

1st impression of D pairings/ signings this year, so far:

Hagg is at the bottom, easily, and keeping Lindstrom there with him.

I think Hronek, whatever warts he has... has benefited greatly from a pairing with Maata...

I can't tell if Seider is in a bit of a sophomore slump, or if Chiarot is slowing him down a step/ or off his game a bit, or both (slump/ Chiarot has him off for whatever reason...).

Also... it appears Husso is pushing for more than just the 1A starter job over Ned's 1B...

Larkin with the ENG! The Wings really needed this win. I really haven't figured out this team. I guess they're pretty good so far at winning games they should win or be competitive in, not so good against good teams on the road.

Even more lopsided than JJ vs McNamara so far.

An even 1st period in matinee at home to NYI, with the Wings likely slightly better. Husso came up big in one sequence.  Rasmussen looked to have open net until puck bounced funny.

Workmanlike efficiency on that 5 on 3. Raymond with his 4th of the year, 1-0 Wings.

I find the Belle Tire ads that scroll and flip during game action 10x more annoying than the Fox glowing puck ever was.

I know the personnel is better, but they are so much more aggressive to the puck than last year you'd hardly know you were watching the same team. 

That said, Husso kept this one from being about 6-3 Islanders.
