slothfacekilla Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 A bit nervous for this month of games. I'll be at the game in Los Angeles, hopefully it is competitive... Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Is Ovechkin going to reach 1,000 goals? Quote
slothfacekilla Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 I know it isn't a huge sample size but I'm really not a fan of Robert Hagg so far Quote
lordstanley Posted November 4, 2022 Author Posted November 4, 2022 (edited) Copp! Finally. Great timing though. I think he was surprised it went in. 2-1 Wings with 3:50 to go in 3rd. Edited November 4, 2022 by lordstanley Quote
1984Echoes Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 1st impression of D pairings/ signings this year, so far: Hagg is at the bottom, easily, and keeping Lindstrom there with him. I think Hronek, whatever warts he has... has benefited greatly from a pairing with Maata... I can't tell if Seider is in a bit of a sophomore slump, or if Chiarot is slowing him down a step/ or off his game a bit, or both (slump/ Chiarot has him off for whatever reason...). Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Hell of an answer after the Buffalo disaster. Quote
1984Echoes Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Also... it appears Husso is pushing for more than just the 1A starter job over Ned's 1B... 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted November 4, 2022 Author Posted November 4, 2022 (edited) Larkin with the ENG! The Wings really needed this win. I really haven't figured out this team. I guess they're pretty good so far at winning games they should win or be competitive in, not so good against good teams on the road. Edited November 4, 2022 by lordstanley Quote

buddha Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 copp and larkin on the same line looks pretty good so far. Quote
lordstanley Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 An even 1st period in matinee at home to NYI, with the Wings likely slightly better. Husso came up big in one sequence. Rasmussen looked to have open net until puck bounced funny. Quote
lordstanley Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 (edited) Workmanlike efficiency on that 5 on 3. Raymond with his 4th of the year, 1-0 Wings. Edited November 5, 2022 by lordstanley Quote
lordstanley Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 (edited) Suter with the breakaway shortie! 2-0 Wings. Edited November 5, 2022 by lordstanley Quote

lordstanley Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 (edited) And now Kuuuuu-balik. Wings lead 3-0. Edited November 5, 2022 by lordstanley Quote
lordstanley Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 I find the Belle Tire ads that scroll and flip during game action 10x more annoying than the Fox glowing puck ever was. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Kubelik has been quite the pick-up so far. Quote
buddha Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 good win. tomorrow against the rangers should be much tougher. can we finally see berggren now that zadina is taking his 0 goal production to the IR? Quote

I know the personnel is better, but they are so much more aggressive to the puck than last year you'd hardly know you were watching the same team. That said, Husso kept this one from being about 6-3 Islanders. Edited November 6, 2022 by gehringer_2 Quote
