Hard for me to feel bad for fans of a team that’s 26-13.

Madden out for a 6th inning. If he doesn't give up a run he will have pitched a quality start in relief. EDIT: and there it is, 6 IP / 3 ER.

Madden threw 4 great innings. Unfortunately he was in the game for 5.

The are not a 'very good hitting team' though - they are a pitch 1st team, so when the pitching isn't there, it's gets pretty rough.

I think it's been the book on the Tigers for a while that they will take strike one most of the time. Certainly been true tonight - though Tork swung at the 1st strike this last inning.

The Tigers are a very good team, we just need to get healthy. Pitching depth, or lack of, is really showing up. Once we get Skubal, Melton, Vest, Javy and Torres back, we'll go on a roll. We just need to survive the next month or so. Luckily, our division stinks. Chins up, it'll get better.

I think they are already in the care of a registered nurse anesthetist.

Wenceel had two good pitches to hit in that AB, took one and fouled the other off. Too many Tigers getting good pitches and either missing them or taking them.
