  1. Past hour
  2. I’m not against dealing guys, but that sort of deal creates holes now and takes away the best CF option for the future. I’m not sure they have much else in terms of CF prospects. I’d like to see the Tigers build up their prospect base via up the middle guys that can move to corners as they age in the majors. If they had better options to bring up and take some spots on the major league roster, it’s a different story. If Clark were closer, and/or Perez & Jung were better, and/or Lee were a but further along, and Meadows hadn’t flamed out, then I think Alvarez as an addition to put the lineup over the top is a more reasonable move.

  4. Touch screen, no typing issues. Just didn't know how to spell it. "Sod," not "existential"
  5. I walked around Wrigley in February. It was cold then. Actually, now that I think about it, it was the first weekend of spring training because I was listening to a few minutes of the game vs the Yankees whilst wandering about the Magnificent Mile.
  6. I really do believe there's a reckoning of some kind coming. We can debate whether it's sufficient or good enough because it may be more about material conditions (ie. Gas prices) versus issues like abortion or immigration, but people are angry and there will be a response politically Having said all that, what I despair about is that all of this stuff is happening, and he says and does all the stuff that he does, and people who know better in elite circles, whether it be the media or in business or what have you... They see everything we all see, but they downplay it or turn away and act like it's NBD or "politics as usual" It's really been a blackpill for me to see how much Trump has done to alienate a large majority of the American public, only to see elite circles try to downplay it all. It's enough to make me think they're fine with all this BS
  7. He is making 28 mil, a lot, but underpaid. Keith can play 1B. We just don't know what Jobe can be. It's a risk. Clark will be good, but his aaa ops is now sub .800 and it's unknown if he'll be a star. Yordan has an injury history, as does Carp. This isn't something Harris would ever consider, but that's what it would take for the Astros to consider it. If Yordan stays healthy I would probably do it. The guy has raked from day 1 in his career.
  8. Did somebody say Marisa Tomei?
  9. Tatum is out tonight
  10. Pass. Not sure there’s enough backfill in the organization to take the spots of Carpenter, Torkelson, and Clark. And just my personal preference, but I’d prefer contracts like Alvarez’ go to ballplayers that can hit and play defense.
  11. I hate the DH batting last.
  12. Haha, wanna resurrect the debate about Easley & Catalanotto vs Cruz & Easley as the better keystone combo?
  13. Yes, good point about the probable Tiger attendance.
  14. Today
  15. Carp, Clark, Jobe and another (Tork, Lee, Anderson....) for Yordan Alvarez. What say ye? Alvarez is under contract until 2029
  16. Unable to because the keyboard would not cooperate or they did not know how Sod was spelled? It is getting scary. All the information in the world at their fingertips growing up with these damn "smart" phones and no idea how to think on their feet. We'll will the Alpha Babies raised with tablets since they were 3 grow up.
  17. Tuesday morning I woke up with "Renegade" by Styx in my head. Love the song, but hadn't heard it in years. Don't know why Wednesday I looked at the field for the Kentucky Derby having absolutely know prior knowledge of who was running and saw the favorite is a horse name Renegade. That's a sign. I put $50 on Renegade. I usually don't bet on horses. But I had to, right?
  18. Reporters: "Hey Skip, How is Justin Verlander coming along?" Hinch: "What's the temp at gametime today?" Reporters "47" Hinch "He's not ready"
  19. To be fair, a little of those were one and dones because the Pistons finally decided to rebound. And our defense forced them into some bad shots. But yeah, Orlando missed every shot. 😆😆
  20. It becomes more distressing every day. I honestly can’t recall when I’ve been this angry on a daily basis. It’s not good for my health - mental and physical- and yet I can’t help but feel such utter despair some days.
  21. Cash or PTBNL...from what I read this morning. Prolly just a few bucks...😅😅
  22. Let's not forget about the online rape academy, where men are sharing how to drug their wives and rape them without being caught. Sadly, Sue, I really think that we women are mostly on our own. I'm beginning to think that the poem that ends 'and then one day they came for me....' should have a line in which they come for the women.
  23. all the homers he's surrendered feel like a kick to the groin for me for sure
  24. Brought to you by Project 2025, which our disgusting ethically challenged liar of a President swore he never heard of. The damn playbook that is a checklist determined to send every woman spiraling back to the “good old days”. If you have a wife, a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece that you love, you need to be fighting like hell for her. It feels like we’ve been condemned to death.
  25. McGonigle SS Torres 2B Keith 3B Greene, R LF Dingler C Carpenter RF Torkelson 1B Pérez, W CF Jung, Ja DH
  26. They added more to the article now. Jansen having groin issues...
  27. He’s dead. He can’t come back
