it was 71-57 when duren went out (and he was doing basically nothing). in the time duren was out reed had 6 pts, 6 rebs, and 3 blocks. almost more than duren had in 3x the minutes. it was 72-69 when he came back in. duren is doing basically nothing and having either stew or reed in the game for him gives the pistons an advantage.

From the moment this guy came up, you could tell from the way he torqued his body during his delivery that he was an injury away from ending his career. That said, he did get a couple really good years out of his body.

He’s fine as emergency depth, and we are definitely in an emergency at short. I would guess he mostly stays at AAA until absolutely necessary, since he is such a sinkhole at the plate.

Or they’re going to settle down and be either good or bad. One or the other or the other. In any event …

Duren came back into the game about the 8-minute mark in the 4th and finished the game. He played 32 minutes total, which is more than the 30 minutes he is averaging for the series.

Yes, that’s great to experience. Also, when the Cubbies win, it’s easier to get out of there faster because as soon as the last out is made, you take off and make good progress toward the exit while everyone is standing around singing. I froze my toes off at the game yesterday. March/April/May at Wrigley can suck really bad. But when the weather is good, brother, it’s the best.

Might as well win this one for the viewership on the national scale.

I saw Duren headed back to the locker room and they were working on his hand. Bleeding? IDK, but maybe JB didnt pull him because of his play? Maybe he was unavailable? I'm sure he'll get his usual minutes in game 7.

i think that game was more about orlando sucking and the pistons playing hard. but getting duren off the floor was important.

3 assists for Cade tonight. That is a comment on how bad the Pistons offense is. I saw something a few days ago, and I imagine the numbers have changed a bit since then. But Cade was 1st in the playoffs for potential assists at just over 17 per game. But only 7th in assists at 7 per game.

JB finally made changes. He played Duren and Caris less,. He got Reed involved and kept Ausar on the floor when it mattered.

Barnes played 48 minutes tonight. Scored 25 with 14 assists 7 rebounds 3 steals 3 blocks.

To be fair, Harris can't hit 2's either.

A lot of credit goes to Detroit's defense. They started rebounding.

First Half: 0 Blocks, 0 Steals Second Half: 5 Steals, 8 Blocks Cade had 1 block and 4 steals. Ausar had 4 blocks and 1 steal. Reed had 3 blocks. That's the game right there. I also want to give some kudos to Tobias in this series so far. No, he can't hit a three, but he's doing everything else he can trying to be the second scorer on this team because nobody else can/will. Without him this is already over.
