not that making sense matters to these hacks but if the borders were open they wouldn't need to hide in the back of a truck.2 points

I have had a couple of times where I considered calling the vet to come over, but this dog keeps rallying. He had a great weekend, and he's feisty (for a 90 year old) today. I just got home from work at 6:45...........Sitting here at my desk........he comes in with his toy and throws it to the ground at my feet (he does know how to throw). Impressed by this dog every day.2 points

Cassidy is 26 years old? Talk about courage. More so than anyone else I've seen in that White House.1 point

“They’re not here to hurt me” strikes me as a more crucial statement than it is getting attention for rat the moment. How Trump said this phrase is really crucial. The way Hutchinson testified, he basically said, kind of flatly, “they’re not here to hurt me”, maybe even a little emphasis on hurt. That would suggest they otherwise are there for something else, such as “they’re here to love me instead”, or “they’re here to praise me instead.” Something like that. But if the way he said it put the emphasis on a different word—as in, “they’re not here to hurt me”—then we’re talking about a whole ‘nother kettle of fish. Because then the alternative could only be, “they’re here to hurt someone else”. And we all know who that someone else is. And that would mean he had foreknowledge of impending violence, and might even suggest even that he would approve of it. I kind of doubt they’ll try to follow up on that, but I think that’s a pretty important distinction.1 point

Of course... and outside of Nixon's state of mind at the end, generally speaking, the amount of lives theoretically put in danger is a massive difference. It's just not a comparison.... but we live in a different, more polarized time now. Setting aside what potentially could happen legally, just politically, there was a time when all of this would be devestating. Nowadays, unfortunately, it may hurt a little on the margins but otherwise he'll still continue to hold his sway.1 point

Keep in mind that Jalen is 18 years old - the youngest guy in the draft. I guarantee you that Casey will have him coming off the bench for at least the first half of the year if not more. But, I think he'll start Ivey because dude is going to sell tickets and you can't sit the 5th pick on a developing team. With Cade, Ivey, Bey, and Stewart likely starting, Casey is going to want to insert a vet into the starting unit. Depending upon what happens in free agency, I think that guy will be Kelly Olynyk at PF.1 point

That’s how it’s supposed to work, although I rarely if ever hear any evangelicals speculate that about someone whose sin they hate.1 point

Those guys are nuts, but all racers are nuts. They are adrenaline junkies. I raced on a couple of local dirt tracks a few times. It's all about how big your balls are. It's as simple as that.1 point

If this turns out to be the case then I’d like to see them jump in as the 3rd team in a few deals to pickup bad contracts for extra draft picks. The FA crop next year is much better but there will also be many more teams with significant money than this year.1 point

My string of 2+ years successfully avoiding this came to an end this morning. Fortunately I have a nice basement to barricade myself in. Unfortunately we were supposed to leave for a week at the lake on Friday.0 points
