I will start a Playoff Tracker thread on March 1, or someone else may do so in the meantime which would be totally cool. It was a fixture of the board in the springs of 2014-2016 when the Wings were a bubble team.2 points

1. Trump has already paid out some of the money in the E. Jean Carroll case, per the article. 2. If, hypothetically, he does not pay, the State of New York has legal recourse upon which to get said money. As mentioned in the article above. That is something that is completely independent of Trump's actions. These rulings are things that actually did happen to him, his business and associates (including his spawn Don Jr. And Eric). Hence why we are discussing them. Unless people are asserting that NYS will simply not enforce them at all, which I find to be unlikely, the money will be paid out one way or another.1 point

I have no idea how many complete sets I have... but quite a few. Unlike most... after my dad got me into collecting by buying me a complete 1974 Topps set... I went old school. I just loved the older cards. A few complete sets (and I collect only ExMt-NrMt or better grade... hard to do... but eBay has been a bonanza for people just dumping cards and being able to find good deals), and only baseball unless otherwise noted: 1951 Topps Red Backs. 1956 Topps Football. 1959, 1960, 1961 and 1963 Fleer sets. 1962 Post Cereal set. 1953 Johnston Cookies (Braves only, with Spahn and Eddie Mathews) 1964 Topps. 1969-1976 Topps. 1964 Auravision Records (7x7 33's with Kaline & Mantle, etc..,) 1953 Bowman Black & White 1953 Bowman Color (actually I'm missing Mantle, Berra, and a card with Mantle Berra & Bauer) I'm close to complete sets (missing key cards) with: 1939, 1940, and 1941 Playball. 1948 and 1949 Bowman. 1952 to 1963 Topps (range from 2 to 14 cards still needed, except the 52's with about 44 missing). 1951 Topps Blue Backs. 1966 Topps 1964 Topps Stand Ups 1964 Wheaties Stamps 1954 Red Heart Dog Food 1952 Num Num Potato Chips (only Indians... and I've got the Feller card). All with tabs (much less without tabs...) 1955 Red Man Tobacco 1939 Goudey Premiums, B set (I've got Joe DiMaggio, but missing Jimmy Foxx and a couple others...). I have about 200 different T-206's (tobacco cards from 1909-1911). Errr... I'm a bit of a collector.1 point

And there is a historical cultural confluence that also fuels the issue. It's not just a group of people who have been dispossessed by war keeping things alive, that has happened in a lot of places without them turning into the ME; it's also a basic tenet of fundamentalist Islam that territory gained to Muslim conversion/conquest may never be lost. So Israel's existence is also anathema to any radical Islamist. It's a match of interests that compounds it all. And conversely and perversely, the existence of Israel is an argument Islamic radicals make that the people need to be more devout (read as "support us"), because if they were, Allah would never have allowed them to fall from power in their previously won lands.1 point

I have a lot of cards from the late 60s and 70s which is when I collected. We played all kinds of games with them and they are all hacked up. Thus, they are worth nothing, but their poor condotion is what gives them character! I wouldn't sell them anyway. Too many memories.1 point

It took 72 hours for him to say something about Alexei Navalny, and then responds by trashing the country he purports to want to represent.1 point

Steve Bannon the path. These Heritage.org people are identifying the WBS and laying out the key milestones. It might not be pure project management international but its definitely a plan.1 point

I don't know if it's accurate to say he didn't want to be president. He didn't think he would win when he started out so I agree he had no plan, and he certainly didn't want to 'be' a proper national CEO in the sense of ever doing all the work that entails to do well, but he sure as heII desperately wants to 'be' the 'biggest boss' there is, and that's POTUS. And now he not only wants it but no doubt feels he needs to get it back because he probably sees correctly that it is his be best route to hold his courtroom losses at bay.1 point

People in civilized societies have trouble not projecting their own civility onto people who go out of their way to make it pretty clear in both word and deed that they don't share it. I think there may be reasonable debate about how to destroy Hamas' hold in Gaza, but not that Israel has no choice but try to accomplish that somehow. I don't see many of Israel's international critics coming up with practical alternatives for Israel to pursue that are likely to accomplish the task by means other than those Israel is employing, i.e. military force.1 point
