  3. I think the Republicans see it more of an opportunity to get media to focus on the supposed threat, rather than talk about their cuts to Medicaid, or Trump's corruption - it gets them off the front page

  5. If ever there were a slam-dunk inner-circle first-ballot Hall of Famer who is also a What Could've Been story, it’s Miggy.

  6. So my FB memory today is of me congratulating Miggy on his 400th HR. This was 10 years ago, if you would've told me then that he would only hit 111 more in his career I never would've believed you.

  7. The biggest difference between teams in terms of income is local TV deals, the Dodgers get nearly 250 million a year for theirs while a team like the Tigers is like a quarter of that. Even if you want to throw out the Dodgers as an anomaly the difference between some teams and others is still 50 to 100 million dollars with some cases even higher. That's 2-4 high priced free agents difference right there. It will never happen but if they were to pool up all the regional deals and split them evenly between teams then things would be alot different.

  8. each series is different. The Rangers had us figured out and had 3 good starters. The Red Sox had great comebacks in games 2-3 but we broke their will. Tonight will be a different thing and hopefully as good as the last series.

  9. Rivalry weekend is here! The Tigers and Blue Jays used to be one but OK. I’m sure, however, that the Padres Mariners series though will be a really hard fought one because they are two fiercely competitive rivals with a long standing tradition of knife fights in alleys, and drive-by shootings. It’s quite a résumé.They’re basically the Crips and the Bloods of the West Coast. someone remind me what the betting odds are.

  13. Pardon my randomness, Both the Cubs and the Tigers have been in the World Series 11 times and they played each other 4 times. There is a decent possibility it could be 12 and 5 this year.

  17. I have never heard Jason on a TV broadcast. Only listened to him once or twice on the radio during spring training, so I cannot comment on him much. But from what I have heard, I like. I loved Andy on the radio, and when he recently did a series ( I think Texas) on the radio, that was great. Dan and Andy are tremendously good together on the radio. I do have to say that Bobby Scales has gotten much, much better in the booth. He has found his wheels and fits very nicely with Dan now. Dan Petry is OK on the radio, not great and not bad. Alix Avila filled in a few times last year and he was also great. Carlos Pena was also strong this spring. I think the Tigers on the radio side are one of the better teams in baseball, and I do listen to a lot of other teams. Of course, that has a lot to do with Dan, who makes everyone better with the exception of Craig Monroe. No one could make him be decent behind the mic, I'm afraid. He was just terrible. As far as the 3rd person on radio, I enjoyed Daneilla last year. Good broadcaster, didn't get in the way, and knew the game.

  21. I was hoping that for the Toronto series I could watch the Toronto TV feed and listen to Dan on the radio, but you can only listen to the specific radio feed for the TV feed you’re watching on MLB.tv. Watching the Blue Jays feed it was so nice not being subjected to all the idiot gambling BS.

  22. A bit tired of the plane story but this is so typical Trump. We're getting something they couldn't give away, paying about a $billion to have it retrofitted to do its supposed duties, and it won't be ready until he's ready to leave office. Yet the true believers are buying the pig in a poke

  24. Bullpens have ups and downs just like any other part of a team. They weren't going to go the entire season without blowing a couple or three games in a row. It happens to every team.

  26. Ok, not sure if this is relevant or not, but since ya'll my peeps, I'm willing to share. The best app for movies is legit "moviebox Pro". It's invite only but I can give one code per week if anyone's interested. It literally has everything from old movies, paramount +, netflix, hulu, Apple +. It is free but I pay the $25.00/year for the premium plan as it streams in 4k and smaller VIP files. If you're looking for free TV: https://thetvapp.to/tv and https://usatvgo.live/ For MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA and NCAAFootball (not basketball) - Download the DofuSports App. It's now called DofuStream. It's free. When you click a link to watch something, an add pops up for 10 seconds, close the add then the rest of the program is add free. You can also stream from your phone to your firestick or smart TV for free then. I use it to watch UofM Football games and all the Lions games. Happy to help if you need it. Just PM me.
