Obama was one of the most popular outgoing presidents. Hillary was one of the least popular candidates and she won the popular vote by 3 million and the election came down to less than 100k votes in three states. Obama would have crushed Trump.

I don't go on Twitter much now, but I was just there. So many fans want Harris fired which is ridiculous. Lot's of ignorant fans out there. There are times when I'd like to see him be less cautious, but he's got the big picture right. He is doing great things for the organization.

If they blow the division and miss the playoffs, probably would have done that if they gave up prospects for a higher priced reliever anyways.

The story at least cites an unnamed NHL executive, and I don't doubt that Yzerman has inquired. That's his job to gauge the market. But I can't imagine anything happens unless McTavish forces his way out, and even if that happens I can't imagine Yzerman giving up ASP. With the Wings, there is no magic bullet. We just have to hope for the kids to progress quickly and for the team to improve from within.

The Athletic did a bit today about how teams ranked with the cap and the value they were seeing...the "wisest spenders". Wings were 24th last year...this year they're 13th and trending upward as the worst looking contracts like Holl, Copp, Chiarot et al..are coming off the books soon

The other part Todd mentioned, and I do agree with, is ultimately everyone is looking for the next big scandal that can bring Trump down and he doesn't think even this Epstein stuff can do that, which I'm all for keeping up the heat on him over Epstein, but probably think Todd is right. What he did say and this was right as he was asked about BLS and how can we trust any numbers out of them, is that it really doesn't matter what the numbers say for your average person. Time has proven again and again that if your average American has trouble paying bills, it doesn't matter what the stock market or economist are saying, they will revolt.

Biden was never popular other than the obligatory blip following his election. He was elected because he wasn't Trump.
