  1. There were a lot of older people, me included, who remembered when games moved faster because hitters and pitchers were not taking forever to get ready. Enforcing the time rules was the best thing they have done in years.

  2. Anderson and De Jesus have been very strong this Spring. I don't usually care about spring training performance of career minor leaguers, but the Harris administration has been good at finding pitching diamonds in the rough, so they might have somethting. We'll see.

  8. They will never admit something he does is a bad idea. This regime doesn't care about popularity or politics at this point. They don't need voters. They are just making themselves rich. Milk it all for another 10 months and after that let the dem congress do what they want. they can impeach a dozen times, no removals will take place. There's zero consequences to be had for Trump and his circle. They don't even care about the GOP anymore. They got elected and are making billions. Vance and Cruz and Rubio can deal with the leftovers while the Trumps and the billionaires ride off.

  11. And too many STEM people are similarly indifferent to if not outright contemptuous of the arts and humanities. You can see the roots of a lot of our problems in that siloing. On the one hand, well-meaning humanists with no clue as to how things work; on the other, antisocial technocrats with no check on their ambitions.
