Some baseball moves work well, some do not. If we were to bust out the flux capacitor and travel back to last offseason with no knowledge of the future, I'd still be in favor of the trade.
There's just not a lot of numerics that I saw that support him being a winning player. When he's on the court, the Grizzlies give up more than they score themselves. And its been throughout his career, whether he has started or come off of the bench. The shooting isn't all that good. My guess is they've liked him for his moxie or whatever.
So which line did he cross, the moxie line or the contract line? I bet some truth serum says both even though Memphis is going to play this on the advocacy of behavior. And to their credit, they do need to watch that given that Morant stepped in it and got suspended.
Yes. Win this game.
I don't have any expectations of being over .500 for the year. But any given game is more of a 50/50 proposition than most folks make it out to be. Win this game.
And then when this game is completed, win the next game.
Looking over his basketball reference page, who does this dude think he is? Antics aside, his numbers suggest he is a net negative to his team possession after possession and season after season.
Baez' 20.2% SO% is easily the lowest of his career (28.4% lifetime). His BB% are up. But he's beating the ball into the ground rather than hitting line drives.
Crud, I thought it was Verlander tonight, Scherzer Wednesday, and then someone else on Thursday. Now I'm going to have to find a picture of Luccesi's cereal for today's game thread.
The font is small and understated and not very distinguishable from the rest of the states, which is a nice contradiction to the word.
But, hold on, someone dared to use the "m" instead of the stupid "X"? Curses.....
