Torkelson's spray chart. Just looking at it and comparing to the batted ball percentages from baseball reference, it seems like Pull% should be higher and Cent% should be lower. One of the complaints about Torkelson is that he doesn't elevate the ball enough. The GB% kind of jives with that. That blob of outs to SS/3B does seem familiar to those that watch the games, doesn't it? -
I questioned Walker's shooting ratios before. Seems to me to be a pass at 5.

Oh, sure. The Tigers win one in a row and suddenly Mother Nature decides, whoa, hold on, we cannot have any of these shenanigans going forward. An absolute traveshamockery, this rainout. -

Well, it was probably a little obvious given the usage of the bullpen heading into today. I don’t know how the weather will play out, but it probably wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to have a doubleheader tomorrow and take advantage of the 27th man for the day. The day off on Thursday allows them to get things back in order a bit, too. -

I'm sticking with Hill being sent down. -
Pretty much. Denver's owner is Uber Douche Nozzle Stan Kroenke. So, congrats to the Denver Nuggets nonownership organization and its fans.

That's pretty well said. The metrics are an accumulation of historicals and may highlight tendencies. But certainly aren't automatics and probably not to be relied upon in all scenarios. -

Yes. And its not exactly his fault he was probably promoted too early and had to learn part of his craft on the fly with insufficient coworkers surrounding him. -
Watch yourself. Michigan has a lot of coast surrounding it.

Cool to see Denver win its first NBA title. They were the top team in the West, so there's a satisfying aspect to finishing up the playoffs as the champion after the regular season that they had, at least for me who didn't have a significant rooting interest in it.

Things fell apart after April ended. 17-9 in March/April, 6-20 in May, 3-7 so far in June. -
The Marlins? Make it full circle.

For all of the hullaballoo about adding depth to Toledo, it sure hasn't manifested itself into much of anything in Detroit. Or Toledo, for that matter. -

Hill last pitched on the 9th. Alexander and Englert last pitched on the 10th. Everybody else not named Boyd, Olson, or Lorenzen pitched yesterday. I would imagine they go with the first trio to throw a bulk of the game today. They just need to find a way to scrape by to the next off day (Thursday). Hill gets the biggest bulk today and then gets sent to Toledo for a fresher long arm? -
I didn't see Schoop or Cisnero.

That's fine & dandy on the surface. But teams face each other for a week at a time now. They wouldn't make any adjustments in games 4-6 of a series from what they've learned in games 1-3 of the same series, plus whatever advanced scouting is available (which to be honest, I don't know how much is available at different levels).

Both have FIPs below their ERAs. Both have been unlucky to an extent. Fulmer is allowing more base runners and home runs and striking out more batters than his career averages. There's probably a case that he hasn't pitched well. Soto is at a career low in runners allowed, particularly via walk (which is still on the high side). Hits allowed are down (hat tip to BABIP). It looks like he's not allowing as much hard contact as before.
