I suspect in order to get down from 49 to the maximum of 40 for the time being, the following transactions will occur: Further, I think there are 10 players that could be added to that pile, although I think their future is a bit more questionable for one reason or another. That leaves the following list of pitchers and position players:

I agree with you about 1a and 1b. It is reminiscent of the days of the Big Two and Little Eight. I think both Michigan (vs Illinois) and Ohio State (at Maryland) have the possibility to be caught looking ahead in their respective games before each other. But I don't think I'd call them trap games, at least with respect to the possibility of actually losing. Penn State has a chance to redeem itself a bit tonight vs Minnesota. Its their white out game, so maybe they'll be juiced up for it.

This is a sports message forum. Toss your logic to the side and post away.

Provided there are no health or extraterrestrial issues between now and late November, it‘ll be undefeated Michigan at undefeated Ohio State. Book it.

“Hey Cade, Reggie Miller is here to see you.” -
Speaking of hitting coaches, can we assume they're kicking around some serious negotiations with someone on a playoff team's staff, or is it still early to name one of the hitting coaches?

I'm not sure the best way to set up the front line. Maybe Bey to the bench and Bogdanovich would be help with whatever 4/5 combo starts? The problem right now is that Bagley & Livers are out, so whatever the plan was is out the window for a few weeks anyway. -

That 34.6% includes a pretty brutal October/November of below 30% in 21 games. I would agree that seems to be the floor for him. -

That will be interesting to see indeed. -

Well, technically yes up until Opening Day, I suppose.

Its probably not an exercise of how to get to the threshold of 40. Its probably more of an exercise of how many does Harris see any actual value in.

The framing of the touchdown scoring defensive back in the background of the shot of the disillusioned quarterback is just fantastic.

I don’t know for sure, but my suspicion is that the 49 guys lean heavily towards Ps. So, it’ll be interesting to see how they cull down to 40 (or below).
-
Sure, just because someone makes it through now or even through the rule 5 without getting being removed doesn’t mean that’ll be the case all the way through to when pitchers and catchers report.
-
The other item that he brought up was the removal of players from the injured list after the World Series. I knew there would need to be cutdowns, but I had forgotten about the injured lists needing to be emptied. I wouldn’t think anyone cut there would be a good target to go after, but I guess you never know.

Suggestions for Hunter Renfroe and Trey Mancini. Renfroe has been mentioned here before. Another suggestion to bring back Barnhart. Washington Tennessee Florida, man.

If they need to unload a salary, the Tigers could take on that Rodriguez contract. Of course, it depends upon the prospects that the Mariners would attach to the deal, too.

The local polls are looking for more volunteers. I considered for a minute using a vacation day and doing that just to see how things go from the other side of the table. And then I realized I hate people, and that's probably not the optimal day to meet & greet the more obnoxious folks that will feel the need to obnoxiously air their obnoxiousness.

That's fair. I think Mike I gets the benefit of what has he done for us lately when these discussions come up. Also, the Tigers were competitive and went to a couple of World Series while he was owner. Maybe both Mike & Chris are loyal to a fault? Perhaps that explains the first half of Mike I's ownership until Randy Smith was fired and the Avila era under Chris I? Both Smith and Avila ultimately failed, but they also had baseball lifer type resumes.

What an enjoyable game. The outside shooting of Bogdanovic and the athleticism of Ivey & Duren really gave this team elements that we haven't seen in a while. Shooting overall is still a concern, the youth is going to manifest itself into poor play at times (the opening of the 1st as a prime example), and the rotations are going to be ..... wow, not sure the best description for this to be honest. But there are some pieces in place for this team to grow on. There's finally some long term hope for the Pistons.
