  1. So, I just looked at the teams & seeds in terms of place holders for now. Obviously there's a little tussle scheduled this weekend and other little skirmishes the next few weeks to juggle things around a bit. The one thing I would tweak with that is making sure that conference champions don't drive the seeding. Conference champions can be defaulted into the party, but where they sit at the table is determined by overall seeding, ideally by some known "objective" criteria rather than however the wind blows on any given Tuesday.
  2. Can't do that too much with 13 pitchers and Cabrera clogging the daily active roster. Ah, I didn't read down far enough.
  3. OK, his OPS+ was 121. That's good.
  4. Who says no?
  5. Detroit Pistons vs Utah Jazz
  6. I'm 3 years older, a foot taller, numerous pounds heavier than my wife. Oh, and we graduated from rival universities. I guess I can never run for political office now.
  7. No wonder Stanley Johnson wants to return.
  8. BB% & HardH% were low. BAbip low as well, probably because of the HardH%. I hope for his sake he bounces back. It wouldn't be out of the question for him to rebound a bit. Maybe he'll benefit from a different environment. Or maybe he's just done.
  9. Oh mon dieu, pardon moi, s'il vous plait.
  10. Its very comic booky.
  11. What's more impressive, the box score or Tripucka's feathered flow?
  12. Detroit Pistons vs Denver Nuggets
  13. Is the Big3 league not hiring?
  14. Sure. Lots of plate appearances that should have gone to Meadows, Torkelson, Grossman, Baddoo, and Greene were instead taken by CastroH, CastroW, and Reyes. Then add in Candelario’s misfortune at the dish and in the field. I wonder if average fielding out of Candelario might’ve earned him another season or not even if his hitting weren’t better last season? Just curious how close he was to being retained. Maybe it wasn’t close at all.
  15. I don't know if this has been mentioned before or not. But there's a 2 hour documentary that's been on Bally Sports lately about The Game. I found it pretty entertaining. Sure, there's some rehash of certain tales, and how many times can certain stories be told? But I thought it was good nonetheless.
  16. Doesn't matter. Betting lines are a balance point based on perception of gamblers rather than a measure of teams in an ordinary week. And then there's this week where that mirage number need not apply anyway.
  17. Watching Ivey and Duren is a treat. Hopefully they stay healthy and mature as expected. Sure, they're rookies and make rookie mistakes. But Ivey also plays with some reckless abandon and tried to take over the game last night. Duren is just so tough to handle down low at times despite not having a refined game at this point.
  18. Sacramento is leading the league in scoring. Detroit gives up the second most points per game in the league. What was surprising to me was that the Pistons were able to keep up with and actually have the lead over the Kings for much of the game. I honestly don't remember the last time I've seen the Pistons hit the century mark before the 3rd quarter was over. Heck, I'm old enough to remember occasional final scores in the 60s/70s. 120 points used to win people in attendance free pizzas.
  19. Wait, hold up. Iowa has the inside track in the west. The B10 championship game will be indoors. The Hawkeyes will need to score more than 2 TDs to win that game. So normally I'd agree with you, but unless the winner of UoM/OSU has to visit the MASH unit on its way to Indy, The Game decides the B10 champion and a home team seed in the national football championship.
  20. Its possible, but nobody wants to hear it. Yesterday was a good reminder that theory doesn't always match reality. These teams are 18-20some year olds that have their inconsistencies from game to game. I think that the only thing that can be assumed is that the committee will avoid rematches at 1v4 and 2v3.
  21. It seems to me that USC has flown under the radar despite its only loss being a 1 point loss on the road at Utah. I think people lost track of them after hiring Riley and the move to the B10 was announced, as if the off field news was all there was for this season.
  22. What about: 1. Georgia 2a - 2c: Pick the order of UoM/TCU/OSU out of a hat. 5. USC 6. Clemson 7- 10: Pick the order of LSU/PSU/Tennessee/Alabama out of a hat.
  23. Detroit Pistons vs Sacramento Kings
  24. Dorian Thompson-Robinson is a beast tonight.
