  1. I hope the original poster of this thread is still proud of his decision.
  2. Cody Stavenhagen seemed to assume as much on his Friday pod. Once rosters expand, he alluded to the fact that Lee had as good of a chance as anyone else to grab one of those spots. I don’t know. Maybe he’ll have earned it on the field by then. But that might not be the Tigers’ need at that point. I’m not saying Stavenhagen is wrong. But with the failures of the bullpen and the number of arms brought in, that might mean those spots are taken by relievers to figure out via September audition who makes a playoff roster.
  3. So you’re not going to answer who you’d have rather had enter the game. And you’re going to blame Hinch but not blame Hinch for the move that was made. Got it.
  4. If the Tigers had access to both Kelly and Bednar without giving up top 100 prospects, then it’s a shame it didn’t get done. But who knows what the actual discussions were.
  5. Sure seems like you were complaining about Hinch in the original post. Or maybe you misquoted your thoughts, I don’t know.
  6. How about kicking some Cherub ass today, eh?
  7. Ugh. Winning streak ends at 1 game.
  8. Not going to argue that. But who did you want Hinch to bring into the game earlier?
  9. Indeed. Carpenter can take some of that pain away now. Please. And thank you.
  10. Who would you rather put in there? The Tigers need innings today. They need to see if Montero is salvageable. They need to manage rest for the other relievers. Plus he was up and throwing last inning.
  11. Yeah, such an odd looking line. 7 hits and a walk in there, too.
  12. Hope not. He’s in CF now.
  13. I wasn’t so sure about it. Happy to be wrong.
  14. League average is 8.4%. If he’s lower there but can pick it up elsewhere, especially considering he’s a C, and a younger player at that, I’ll take it this season.
  15. Damn I’m good.
  16. Baez with the steal. Torres gonna drive him in.
  17. Geez, thanks a lot.
  18. Still gonna try the aromatherapy candle in the background.
  19. <--- Woke up feeling dangerous today.
  20. I thought it was his hamstring?
  21. Or is this the real Flaherty and last season was the aberration?
  22. One of the aspects of baseball that I appreciate is that it truly is a game to game coin toss. In general, top teams win around 60% of their games and bottom teams win around 40%. That range is extended for the other major sports, something like 75%-25% for the NBA as an example.
  23. I believe more MLB games than not are 50/50. But I’d be lying if I didn’t agree with you here.
