    The Tiger pitching staff should be in good shape. The series vs Cleveland will be 5 games in 8 days, weather looks lovely so no rainouts. Roster construction should probably remain 12 pitchers and 14 position players?

    Zaidi was just let go by San Francisco. Hopefully Harris' ties to the Tigers are stronger for now than the Bay Area.

    As much as I hate reliever roulette, the Tigers have been exceptional with the pitcher usage.

    People.... I know its been a while and maybe some of us feel a bit out of place. The Tigers are a legitimate playoff team capable of beating any other remaining team left in the tourney. Ain't no need to steal a game. Win the games. Win all the games.

    Bullpen management is one thing. I think he has been using platoons and the bench pretty effectively as well.

    See, this is why MLB hates the Tigers making the playoffs. Nothing but bitching about TP and game times from the Tiger fans, and the Tigers never lose a playoff series against the Yankees.

    He is certainly making the case that managers can make a difference. I think the thing is that most folks see that as in game stuff and game results. But there's more to that role than just telling guys to throw strikes.

    Not quite. The other team is going with their varsity squad, too. Tough to assume sweeps at this point. But I won't complain if the Tigers can do it.
