  1. Well, OK, Ramirez up to the plate, but he’s not the tying or winning run. That’s fortunate.
  2. While I am for taking this game in hand, I would stick with Fulmer and hold Soto for the night cap. Fulmer has thrown only 5 pitches this game.
  3. Barnhart with an RBI! I believe it’s his first of the season.
  4. They are at the beginning of a 19 games in 17 days streak.
  5. Only 5 pitches for Fulmer. Give him the 9th.
  6. Look, I can’t take care of everything. I had to start the game thread because @Tigeraholic1 was too banged up from last night to go this morning.
  7. This kid on the mound looks like he was out on his bike delivering newspapers this morning.
  8. Is “pig” the new slang for “drip”?
  9. It’s a 3 “WILLI!” day. 2 in joy, 1 in angst. I’m taking that to Arbys for some fries.
  10. Can’t blame Hinch for trying to win the game at hand. Hill’s pitch count was good. If not for Ramirez and Naylor, I’d have felt more comfortable about sending him out there in the 7th. Sure would be nice to have more than a single run lead.
  11. If the bullpen can hold ‘em, that’s the last plate appearance for Ramirez in this game. That would be dandy.
  12. I think that right there is what would give me pause. Then again, pitching to Ramirez is a tough ask to begin with. The odds are probably best served not giving him that 3rd look at a pitcher.
  13. OK, so leading off will be Jose Ramirez followed by Josh Naylor. Still trotting Hill out there?
  14. Hill needing only 64 pitches to get through 5 so far. If you’re managing, is the bullpen throwing yet? I’m granting him the 6th. If runners get on, then I’d call down there. But I want to see him in the 6th and he has a chance for the 7th at this point.
  15. That was mentioned in another thread yesterday. Then the Turning the Corner podcast mentioned it this morning (or yesterday when they were taping it). 🤔
  16. I was rooting for a wild pitch. Alas, can of corn to left.
  17. I feel bad for the families during these debuts. They just want to watch their son/brother/grandson play. They’re probably nervous enough to begin with. Then they get a camera jammed in their face.
