Fun game, although not pretty at times. Down 17, but they erased that deficit and snagged the OT W. Really have to give some credit to the fill in backcourt. Like I said, the game wasn't pretty at times, but when they're going with 4th & 5th string guards, particularly at the point, as well as backups elsewhere getting more playing time than they should, they're doing an admirable job. It probably helps that they've got some guards that aren't fresh out of college and have a little bit of pro experience.

My kid was in UoM’s Mott Children’s Hospital for 10 days due to ecoli, most of that time in PICU, intubated twice and pretty much in a deep sleep for 3 or 4 days. She had wonderful care. My wife and I were handled with a delicate mix of matter of fact and compassion. These people have to deal with very sick children and highly confused and emotional parents. I have no idea how they do it. I get pissed off at my job and then think about “our vacation at Mott”. And those situations are still going on now, at Mott, at other hospitals all over the place. And now toss COVID on top of it? I couldn’t fathom working in that atmosphere before, and the situation now has to be so much more draining and stressful.

They probably need some dependable electrical sources, too.

I don't know. I'm not sure news about the negotiations would do much but anger the fan base at this point. If you want angar, try the politics board.

I agree, I would think there would be more money involved with playoffs replacing a majority of the bowls. But where is the revenue going to go? Is it going into the pockets of those that can make playoffs vs bowls decision? And is it possible that those decision makers are trying to figure out how to do both, and get early (mid December) playoff losers into a post tourney (late December) midweek bowl to keep that segment of viewers satisfied? I know its a stretch to think nefariously and that they might like a bag of cash over the health and safety of the student-athletes, but, it happens sometimes.

The second half was bonkers with players coming up lame from cramps and injuries. And toss on the flag football tackling. Tennessee should fire their coaching staff after mangling its final drive in the 4th quarter. Absolute keystone cops BS. 3 timeouts which were not used correctly. Going for 40 yard TD pass plays in the final minute when only a FG was necessary.

I think it'd be difficult to have a postseason structed such that there is football every day. And since ESPN is driving college football and has inventory to push, they're going to want the current set up of college football darn near every day.

I don't know if conference bowl records mean anything anymore. Its kind of silly season when you factor in variables like coaching changes and players sitting out bowl games (I understand the business decision). Now add in the the shifting of teams from one bowl to another because of COVID, like 5-7 Rutgers facing 10-2 Wake Forest (maybe, if it happens). Under normal circumstances, when would a 5-7 B1G team face a 10-2 ACC team in a major bowl game? It was probably more of a pride thing before. Maybe it still is for smaller conferences. But as for the bigger conferences, as long as they get more of the bigger bowl game invitations (ie, money), they're probably less focused on the actual bowl game results outside of the playoffs.

Pretty much. The Pistons were a bad team to begin with, and then they are essentially stripped down to 3 season starting rotation players and a bunch of G league players. And as for the 3 rotation players, Bey is a starter that is probably more of a bench piece, Jackson was a castoff that found a solid bench role over the last part of last season, and Diallo was stapled to the pine for a while earlier on. Now go ahead and probably put Jackson on the shelf after his ankle injury last night. There was a graphic during the game that so far this season, 549 different players have logged an NBA minute. The previous high was 540 twice (can't remember which two seasons that was). We're not even half way through this regular season yet. I guess continuing to play is just inventory for the NBA to pitch out there. It ain't good, necessarily. On the one hand, there lots of guys that are going to go balls out because they have a chance to show off their wares. On the other hand, the talent is lesser, and teams are lacking cohesion by just throwing warm bodies on the roster. At least there is some familiarity with G league teams. Can you imagine going through this 10-20 years ago with no affiliated minor league teams to draw from? I just wish someone would give Cheick Diallo a map when he takes the floor. He looks completely lost out there, as in never seen a basketball game lost.
