Saw a New Mexico license plate several days ago. Pretty cool looking, a black plate, a couple of chili peppers on it, yellow, red, and green fonts. I thought it was sharp. I don't recall ever seeing one before, and why would I in NW OH. But, daggumit, would you believe we saw another one this past weekend? Never saw one before, and then see two (definitely different vehicles) within a week of each other?

Its a live gun aimed in the general direction of others. Why is the safety not engaged when it isn't being fired? I suspect firing off multiple weapons at the same time is the way to celebrate the sanctity of a failed 8 month marriage or an exercise of faux bravado, but I'm just speculating.

This was an entertaining game that the Pistons actually led for a good deal of the game. It wasn't always pretty, but damnit, as outmanned and outclassed as they were on the floor, they gave Miami a run for it all night. I hate to be all orange slices and participation ribbons about an NBA game, but they kept me drawn in simply because the effort kept them in it until the end. And there was the Udonis Haslem sighting. Hey, good for him to still be playing, even though he's really just an assistant coach wearing a jersey. And, sure, it was a reduced Miami roster that got him into the game. But keep it going as long as you can, young man.

I wasn't much inclined for Baez at the beginning, but also thought Correa would be too much salary/years. I think Baez' salary is a season or two long, but I think it'll be a better fit than Correa. Still curious what happens with Story. He could end up with the most team friendly deal (salary & seasons). But I am glad the Tigers have SS figured out before the shutdown. This simplifies the Tigers' shopping once free agency resumes. I suspect the CBA won't be finalized until end of February, the free agent frenzy will be crazy as guys will want to know where they will be and its quite possible that we see a whole slew of short term deals or quick applying opt outs. The Tigers still need pitching, so focus efforts there and hopefully they can grab another solid SP or two.

Also in the thread is a video of shooting in a direction while looking away from the target (not Cawthorn, but others in the video). That's a basic gun safety foul that I remember from basic hunting gun safety from 35 years ago even though I do not hunt. Or maybe the rules of gun safety have changed, I don't know.

I don’t see the issue with replacing Texas A&M in the bowl game. Why make Wake Forest skip out on a bowl game after the season that they’ve had? Why make the fans looking for a vacation skip out on it? I agree, I think there are too many bowl games. But I simply watch the ones that I want to and avoid the ones that I don’t, and I seem to manage just fine. Ultimately they’re all exhibitions anyway and only 4 teams go to the playoffs. If other people want to watch these other bowl games, what do I care?

I don't know. Is he a finished product with the glove? I doubt it. In his defense, we don't know what the arrangement of his team is with the other infielders and other major league teams. There might not be an official working relationship with MLB and this league, but there could be some playing situations/promises made with various teams, couldn't there?
