  1. Need some sock height metrics for a full evaluation.
  2. Time to start floating Greiner's availability in the media.
  3. It does seem a pretty clever move on the Tigers' part to acquire a guy that the Reds were likely to just let walk away (sounds like they have a younger C that is about MLB ready). Also fortunate given the timing of Buster Posey announcing his retirement.
  4. I do like this suggestion.
  5. Philadelphia 76ers (6-2) vs Detroit Pistons (1-6)
  6. I wonder how many behind the scenes producers/helpers they have and if any of them came up with the question?
  7. Is that trade to swap picks with Houston still on the table?
  8. I don't know. I think FOX was too fixated on the stepping on the ankle. But they had some time to get someone cracking into the rule book because there was a slight delay with Fried's ankle.
  9. Sorry, but you lost me there.
  10. I don't think interference or obstruction or the running lane or any of that was brought up last night. And now that I think about it, given where Brantley's foot landed on Fried's ankle, I think he still would have ended up short of the base if there was no contact. I agree with you that Fried's foot appeared to be in front of the base, ie, in between the line from home plate to the base. #saftey1stbasein2022
  11. I am shocked that Oklahoma was placed that low. I'm not arguing that they should be higher, I'm just shocked they were placed that low by the committee. I hate this committee stuff. Bring back some BCS type algorithm so that this ranking and bowl selection isn't a back room type of frozen envelope process.
  12. I did not see a replay where Fried touched 1B, but they may have indeed showed it. I'm just going with what I saw. What I saw was the stepping on the ankle and that was it. Fried certainly knows he was stepped on, and probably knows he didn't touch 1B, and probably assumed that Brantley touched 1B with his other foot (bad assumption).
  13. I suspect it will be a higher AAV as well. A ten year deal puts him at 37 years old upon the end of the deal. I'm not quite sure how to gauge that. Francisco Lindor got 10/$341M (some of which is deferred). Lindor is about 10 months older than Correa, a ten year deal would cover roughly the same ages. So, I will guess the bidding starts at 10/$350M.
  14. Altuve? I thought there was a close play involving Brantley. Freeman fielded the ball, Fried raced over to cover 1B but never gave a look to Freeman to toss him the ball until too late. Fried never touched 1B and Brantley stepped on Fried's ankle, but not 1B. That doesn't constitute an out. The camera never showed Fried tag or touch the base, and presumably Brantley touched it first after running through 1B and then returning to 1B to ready himself for the next batter. So, it could very well be that the Braves' replay guy never saw a visual that Brantley (or 1B) was actually tagged by Fried.
  15. Here's a rookie season game log: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/milicda01/gamelog/2004
  16. Meh,....., not too worried yet.
  17. I raked leaves yesterday. We've had a batch of chili made (actually it was a couple of weekends ago). Daylight savings comes to an end this weekend. I guess its time for baseball games to cease.
  18. The MAC adding more directionals?
  19. Milwaukee Bucks (3-4) vs Detroit Pistons (1-5)
  20. I was going to say that it looks like Houston’s SP needs to be more efficient, but that isn’t necessarily the case. They’re averaging a bit over 16 pitches per inning, which isn’t terrible. And that includes 52 pitches over 2 innings from Valdez. 13 pitchers on a playoff series roster to cover 7 possible games in 9 days. Two games, day off, three games, day off, two games. Maybe I’m just being old, but 13 pitchers seems one (or even two) pitcher too much.
  21. It’s going to be another long season, isn’t it?
  22. Cage of spare striped wildcat hurlers.
  23. As I look over some of the candidates that I need to decide among for tomorrow’s election, I recall that many experts predicted that COVID was supposed to be over with after last year’s election.
  24. Remember to wrap up on the tackles, kids.
