  1. Not after he gets snagged in the rule 5.
  2. Can a voter split a vote? I suspect not, and so going with that, I wonder how many split votes might have been cast. I think the rationale is there all 3 more along the lines of 1, 1A, 1B rather than 1, 2, 3.
  3. Geez, you could’ve probably suited up last season.
  4. I heard speculation on a pod that Leonard might not have made the cut because of his defense. Ok, maybe. On the other hand, what about these guys in terms of trade value. Nobody’s going to bang down a door for Leonard, but I’ve got to think he’s got better trade value than Kreidler or Baddoo.
  5. Has anyone done anything significant except submit 40 man transactions and tend qualifying offers?
  6. Until he ****cans them and then he mumbles about how worthless they were. Funny how that works, eh?
  7. I would’ve preferred dropping one of Kreidler, Baddoo, or even Lange (sorry, not a fan of his lack of control) as opposed to Leonard.
  8. Other than that, he's quite a fine human being.
  9. I liked that look. They can keep it and keep at least 2 of Cunningham/Ivey/Beasley out there at all times.
  10. I guess it all depends upon the rest of the roster and how many guys they have playing everyday vs how many positions they can platoon. Also, what do they want to do with the DH? Is it a semi rest day for the everyday players (ie, Greene)?
  11. The thing that worries me about Goldschmidt is that his SO% and BB% have been in decline for a few years, moreso his SO%. Another season of decline and he might just end up being the same as Torkelson. So, with respect to this swapping of players, I'm not sure how much the older player would be an upgrade over the younger player.
  12. I think Torkleson gets this season. I know there’s clamoring to get another 1B into town. Thing is, the Tigers already have Torkelson (albeit, not without merited question), Carpenter, and Malloy. That’s 3 different DHs that are hoped to be average in the field if/when they take the field. I think if they bring someone else in, it’s likely a 3B. I suppose they could demote or trade one of Torkelson/Malloy, or even trade Carpenter, but that seems doubtful.
  13. You’re cracking me up.
  14. Yup, I missed that one. E - Casimir.
  15. I'd say signing Kim is more smart than bold, but that's just my opinion
  16. I don't know what to make of Navigato. I suspect he's a 4A IF, but I don't know. If they keep him and give him a shot at the roster, that's fine. I liked the acquisition of Leonard. He had injury and struggled a bit upon return last season. I expect him to be added to the 40 but I'm not sure he has a spot on the 26 quite yet. I still like the idea of acquiring Kim (like his combination of offense and defense even if his power might be limited), allowing him his recovery early in the season, and using that time to determine what to do with Baez. Now, whether that means a left side of the IF of Sweeney and Baez on a mostly everyday basis or not, I don't know, but I would be fine with it early on. But I also think Kim is under the radar enough that a 2 year deal is reasonable for both sides. It allows to use free agent / trade capital elsewhere.
  17. Walking pneumonia is the what all the cool kids are getting these days.
  18. Yes, I’m sure there are multiple avenues for the Tampa Tarpons to get their home games in.
  19. Its the FSL. Do they play the weeklong at one park schedule? They could probably get by with moving to another nearby FSL park or split up the series between Tampa and the other team as needed.
  20. Obviously.
  21. Somebody here posted a theory that the back/hip and age had reduced his bat speed and to compensate for it he began to swing earlier. Seems rational enough, but who knows if that's exactly what it was.
  22. For a political party that fears misconstruing of genders and likes to focus on being men being rugged and tough, they sure do have some "leadership folks" that test some of those boundaries.
  23. I'm not sure its quite that simple. The NBA can be a game of runs. And also consider that teams are likely to look past the Pistons given how awful they've been the past several seasons. I think the Pistons are taking some teams by surprise early on. It might not last long. At the very least, they appear to be more competitive on the floor. And, sure, up 18 and lose in OT. They were missing some key cogs to start the game and then lost another one during the game. Plus this was the second OT game in a row. Plus they probably don't know what to do with themselves when they're up 18 and the opponent comes roaring back.
  24. This might be more true than we would like it to be.
  25. Hey, this is a family site. You take that smut elsewhere.
