  1. Seems like a really good kid... Patrice Bergeron? OK by me!!! https://www.freep.com/videos/sports/nhl/red-wings/2022/07/08/brennan-ali-has-punch-and-appeal-detroit-red-wings/10018554002/
  2. It's not actually a 'lude... LBV's are killer bottles of Port (I prefer that over wine); and affordable. Dow's is an excellent make. The Russian Quaalude is another type of shot that is "lighter" I guess than the whiskey. A shot each of Kahlua, Bailey's, Stolichnaya Vodka, and Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur). Mix 'em up over ice and pour out 4 shots or put 'em in a glass over ice (and keep to myself...). It's like a hazelnut coffee shot. Killer. Is that actually softer than the Fireball whiskey?
  3. I heard he's now going after the WSJ...
  4. I can go softer... How about a Russian Quaalude followed by a Late Bottled Vintage Port. Dow's, 2020.
  5. Liquor is quicker. How about a couple of Fireball shots followed by your favorite chaser?
  6. The "both sides" false equivalence is what the hysterical joke is.
  7. And in the face of 30+ years of contemptible right-side language and behavior and violence, starting with Rush Limbaugh and Pat Buchanan, through the Tea Leaf ("FU") Party politics, and today's violent fascists all over America, and including a history of racism, xenophobia, Jim Crow, police brutality, slavery, lynchings, and other acts of white trash bigotry... I have no problem in standing up and committing opposite and equal acts of violence against these MF'ing scumbags. I'm going to buy an AR-15. And if these right wing fascist mf'ing scumbags make another attempt to overthrow our Democracy... I WILL protect the Constitution of the United States. Make of that what you will.
  8. Both sides guilty doesn't make them equal. If I put weights on both sides of a scale, than "both sides", right? But one side is a one ounce weight and the other weighs 50 pounds... both sides are equal? You're pulling a "false equivalence" argument. Total bullshit. Motown Bombers is 100% correct.
  9. Both sides are not equal. You are completely and totally full of shit.
  10. I have to say though... this draft seems a lot more shrouded in mystery than other Yzerman drafts for the Red Wings... Could be just me...
  11. Music to my ears...
  12. Brennan Ali actually looks a little bit interesting too... especially for a 7th rounder...
  13. PS: That's twice they've taken advantage of other teams' cap limitations to steal a young goaltender with big upside...
  14. Beautiful. And he's only 27. Will also give some serious competition to Nedeljkovic. Who ends up as the starter? Or do they just split 50/50?
  15. Seems a lot like last year. But the grotesque starts to the season are killin' us...
  16. A lot of projection in there because he won't have played a lot of minutes on the men's team. That's why it has to be "trust the Yzerplan"... I liked Savoie because he had the playing time to show what he was: fast, aggressive, offensively explosive... Easy to picture him as a #2 Center. Kasper is harder to see because of the limited playing time/ all projection... Does he turn into another Larkin? A two-way playmaking 2C? Or less than that (3C or other...)? Much harder to see what will happen here...
  17. Also: Another point of context: He was 16 years old when he started playing with Rogle (Swedish men's professional league) with 10 games. At 17 he played 58 games (including the Championships) and scored 9 goals. I don't know how good he'll turn out to be... but this is an "In Yzerplan I trust" selection and... maybe he turns into another Seider (makes leaps & bounds as his age catches up with the leagues he'll be playing in...). Especially when he hits the NHL...
  18. Playing against grown men, quite a bit less than that... But playing against his same age: 45 goals in 66 games... We'll see how he does when he grows - age-wise - into the Swedish League, at Grand Rapids, and with Detroit in a couple years...
  19. In Yzerplan I trust...
  20. Kasper it is... But I was hoping for fast and aggressive and explosive on offense (Savoie) rather than just "good discipline" (Kasper) so... I'll be watching how those two turn out. I'm sure Wright will have an internal competition with Cooley as well, o see who turns out better between those two...
  21. If a D'Man falls to us I'd want it to be Nemec more than Jiricek. But I doubt either falls that far. I've seen Lekkerimaki also mocked to Detroit. High-end offensive skill. Still, amongst the choices who realistically may fall/ be available to the Wings, amongst: Gauthier, Savoie, Lekkerimaki, Kasper, Nazar ... It's Savoie I want most. The rest are mostly tied. Including the defenseman after Nemec and Jiricek are gone.
  22. Is that you Tomi Lahren?
  23. Drop Grossman and add Baddoo in there and... Let's see what happens...
  24. Although he didn't play as many games in Detroit (or stayed in Detroit) as Higginson... I think of Bobby Higginson the same way I think of Steve Kemp.
  25. Might depend on the oligarch... Some are staunchly against fascism. But in Russia, Putin kills off those dissenting oligarchs so they better be in his back pocket and be licking his boots, or else... DeSantis has already tried that in Florida. Punishing those against his politics and rewarding those who kiss his feet. Are we turning into our own version of Russia? Is that where oligarchic greed here is leading us to...? I thought it was white trash bigotry that had us headed in that direction.
