Municipal citizens of Ukraine rise up! With Molotov cocktails and whatever you can... Hell, pitchforks. Take back your cities!

Good strategic loss though... Not certain what happened with the lead... They had a pretty good lead most of the game... -
Any weapons going from China to Russia will enrage the EU and cause an immediate drop in trade relations, not to mention most likely sanctions directly aimed at China. I believe China is way too smart to do something stupid like that. I mean... we'll see.

China's current relationship with Russia: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/russias-ukraine-invasion-bad-news-160000610.html
-
They have financial exposure and reputational exposure (the EU could shut them out in response to any real China support of Russia)... which is less a calibration and more along the lines of extreme risk avoidance. They have no compelling reason to expose themselves financially or otherwise to investments/purchases in a belligerent Russia. Hence: they are definitely limiting that exposure. Not 100%. Probably not even 25% (they need Russian oil just as much as the EU does...). But what ever they are able to. The U.S. & EU wants them to do more of course...

I'm on board with this. I think it needs to be done. A "Coalition of the Willing". Declare War on Russia and it's partners (Byelorussia only at this point) with the goal ONLY of removing Russian military from Ukrainian territory (including the Donbass region but NOT Crimea, which would be a no-go for Russia.) Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Norway, Japan, South Korea, Lithuania, Canada, Italy, Greece (maybe even Turkey if we could get them on board), the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Iceland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, etc... The U.S. could back them up initially but would need Congressional approval to approve a State of War against Russia... but if the goal is only the removal of Russian forces from agreed-upon (by the "coalition of the willing") Ukrainian territory... I'm just going to guess but, if the rest of western civilization (as listed above) declares against Russia, Congress will also. A concerted International effort to tell Putin/ Russia to "Back OFF". I want it. And I want it now.

Or at the trade deadline if it is actually worthwhile to do so...
-
43-19 shots against still looks pretty bad...
-
I guess we can now start thinking about what draft pick we'll get this year. We're in about the 9th spot based points/ games in hand...
-
Yes... But still, the flipside to being an eternal optimist is that... Those guys still deserve to prove what they can, or cannot, provide to the Tigers.
-
Which means we don't need an OF'er right now. You've just confirmed my position. There's no reason whatsoever to spend on any OF'er until the trade deadline, at the earliest. The Tigers should first and foremost give time to Grossman-Greene-Baddoo-Hill-Daz-Reyes to see how they fare this season.

It's definitely weak sauce. I mean... how weaker can the sauce get? Carlson even believes this horseshit? Cutting off Russian oil is the "most damaging thing ever"? Really? It's so freaking weak it almost seems like Putin called up Carlson and said: "Hey Tucker, say this....". And Benedict Tucker Carlson went ahead and said it. Un-freaking-believable.
-
Hopefully it turns out to be true.
-
Benedict Arnold traitor to America. Plain & simple. He's Putin's boot-licking parrot. Will no one call him out for shilling for Putin's fascist dictatorship? The MF'er should be fired. And exiled. Put on a one-way plane to Russia. Did I ever mention that I think Carlson is a total deuchebag?

I don't want to chase Watson. We're still rebuilding this team. So if we are going for broke on a QB, I want it after this team is built sufficiently, regardless whether we go after a veteran or someone just coming out of college. I don't mind paying the price... but I want to wait on paying that price until the last moment, when we're more certain of where this team stands and, whether that go-for-broke price is worth it.
-
Prefer this plan over the Correa plan. I don't think we need an OF'er just yet though. I'd rather save that for the trade deadline to see whether it's worth it or not to chase another bat. And I'd rather give internal options enough run to start the season to see whether they sink or swim. I'm good with another starter and reliever though. Always liked McHugh. And I think Grienke would be as valuable off the field as on. IMO.

Well then I guess we need to protect our convoys with military forces. How about NATO forces all the way to the Dnieper River, and a no-fly over all of Ukraine. Backed up by Patriot missiles installed in western Ukraine. And to top it off, a relief force sent through Mykolaiv and Kherson and all the way to Mariupol to prevent Russian forces from committing genocide against the entire city of Mariupol, which they are now currently attempting. But that's just me.

If we get the #1... I'm pretty certain that's Jabari Smith. Otherwise... I can see it being Ivey. But then my next question is... where can we find a rim-protecting rim-running defensive-stalwart Center? I want Stew coming off the bench as 6th man and I don't think Bagley is the right guy to be a starter, or fits the Center I just described above. If we added Ivey & (just as an example: Myles Turner) the right Center... I think this team can go places. The same with adding Jabari and the right Center (although we would be short the right-hand wing-man for Cade with Jabari...). I would think we'd have a shot at the playoffs next year. Although... that would be a pretty big jump... Just being optimistic and thinking out loud... -

Wins not important at this point/ this season. Cade busting out is though... Makes me excited for next year. I like what Bagley brings as well... I think that's a steal for Weaver... or at least at this early juncture. -

Crap... I thought I had successfully excised all these names from my memory banks and you had to go ahead and reinvigorate them... Ugggh!!! -
Even before he signed I was thinking Rodon was going to be too expensive. Is Pineda more in our budget? That's the guy I'd want as a 5th starter. Not too critical or expensive that he can't be superceded if Wentz gets really hot in AAA.

I was talking about all the Generals or other senior commanders that the Ukrainians keep killing. How are they getting to them? Intelligence? Comm intercepts? Vehicle markings? Any of these 3 points to severe weaknesses on the Russian side in protecting their senior military leadership.
