  1. Looks like Leddy & Seider fell down on this one... Growing pains. Going to happen this year for Seider as he acclimates to the NHL...
  2. Yeah I didn't have any numbers... I was just being hyperbolic. But your point matches with mine... stop with the 3-man rush because they're getting zero pressure... at least getting some pressure on the QB may generate some mistakes, or even some sacks. They suck in coverage anyways, so what the hell are they doing dropping 8? Getting... nothing but completions and yards and TD's against. Rush 4, full stop. And live with the consequences.
  3. If one of those guys, or someone else, turns into a franchise-type QB... go for it. I don't see it just yet... but maybe Malik? But if they don't qualify as a franchise-type.. then please just wait until 2023... I don't want to settle for Andre Ware or some other past failure just because we "need" a QB. Get the right one. End of story.
  4. Even as bad as he is... he can still hold down the fort. The team is bad. They're going to be bad for awhile. They need to do a lot of team-building. On those basis', doesn't really matter if we're stuck with Goff. Just ride him until a replacement is found. When they spot their franchise QB, whether 2022 draft or 2023... Or FA or trade or whatever... pull the trigger. Until then... ride Goff until he's dead. (just joking on that last comment...) 😉
  5. Hard to get pressure if the QB can get the ball out of his hands in 2.3 seconds with our weak secondary and LB's. Also, rushing 3 doesn't really help there. They should be rushing 4 every pass attempt to at least hope they can get some pressure... Because they sure can't cover so what does it matter?
  6. Do it. And then sign Boyd to a minor league contract so he can rehab in the Org... If he warrants starting with the Tigers again by mid-season or so (does MLB have two-way or split contracts? One rate for minor leagues and a separate agreed-upon rate for MLB? (not talking about MLB minimum...)) fine. If not, well then...
  7. Right... but I thought there was some kind of similar process... Like not extending an (arbitration) offer makes that player a free agent. Call it qualifying or whatever the correct terminology is...
  8. Boyd: 1-Year minor league contract with an MLB opt-out by mid-July. That's it.
  9. I have no interest in Boyd in 2023. Don't you have to extend a QO? To get arbitration? Don't extend a QO. He's not going to sign anywhere else anyways. Sign him to a minor league contract so he can rehab in our system, which is me being nice here, and see if he's able to pitch in July/ August with the Tigers. He can also have a stipulation in the contract that he's in MLB with the Tigers by mid-July, or he gets released and is a FA. If he's not ready for MLB, he's a FA at the end of 2022 one way or another, so let him go. I'm not interested in offering him any more than that.
  10. Probably... But nothing seems to fit inside my brain right now other than "Verlander", "Verlander", "Verlander"...
  11. Love everything you did there...! For the BP though: I want Corey Knebel and Craig Kimbrel...
  12. Forgot about the Mets not signing Rocker...
  13. Or 13th or 14th... What's the tie-breaker? Prior year winning %...? yeah ok, then we would pick 12th...
  14. If the Yankees sign Correa they have a pretty good SS waiting to break into MLB...
  15. Ended the season at .475 win % and tied with two others in the 11-12-13 spots. So a coinflip or whatever else breaks a tie will determine our final position. It's what we've been waiting on the past 5 years... a move to get away from those top 5 draft picks. They actually had a stronger run this year than I thought... only in the last week did their pitching stress out from being too young with a limited innings history... I thought they'd struggle the whole month of September... I guessed earlier this year that they'd fall in the top 9-12 draft spot, and they finished at the better end of that. But not only that, they made a play for .500 and finishing 2nd in the Central... until that last week. But job well done boys, so... until next year and the draft... have a great team-building offseason!!! (PS: I don't see a need to start the 2023 draft thread until just before the draft... not sometime during the 2022 season because, well, we just don't CARE about draft position any more!!!)
  16. I think he will be platooned next year, which will negate that. I believe this year they were testing him as much as possible so that meant PA's against lefties. If he doesn't improve on that next year, significantly, Hinch will bench him against lefties. Just my 'pinion...
  17. Baddoo's not taking a step back. And we're adding Correa... So now what?
  18. Not a good representation so far Archie Bunker... You've proven yourself to be a liar, a fascist, a hypocrite, and completely full of horseshit so far... Do you think people here are stupid? That we can't see the horseshit you're spewing? Newsflash: Everyone can see your stream of crap.
  19. Says the guy who called me a comedian, not an Independent. So you're a hypocrite too then.
  20. Says the Joker spewing horseshit about Jan 6th. All you white trash bigots are nothing but clowns, if we want to talk about getting a good laugh...
  21. So full of shit I can smell you all the way over here in Jersey...
  22. Archie Bunker confirms he is our resident fascist and liar.
  23. Tigers make it to the playoffs in either 2022 or 2023 and he's not going to want to be around the team? Wrong answer.
