I have no interest in a bat-only OF'er, per RM's list. None whatsoever. We can add multiple bats by bringing up Tork & Greene, signing a SS and a Catcher, and replacing Castrei and Niko for 1 or 2 of Clemens, Kreidler and Paredes. At least not until Miggy is retired and the DH spot opens up. That is not until some time later in 2022, on a guess. But not out of Spring Training. And I agree with Casimir... I'd rather have a "Real" bench player for the IF or OF, and not a DH-only bat. Rotate guys through the DH as a half-day off rather than dump a can't-field dude in there permanently...

It (he) should be at Toledo... waiting for a call-up on some emergency basis. And Daz Cameron should be ahead of him.

I think in a year Sewell will have picked up on the NFL, and will return to next year's training camp primed to steal LT from Decker. I think when Sewell is ready to take over LT, Decker has to move to Right. If it isn't this year, I'm betting it's next year... If Decker is a RT, he'll be overpriced. I'm perfectly fine with two monster tackles. But I'm willing to trade Decker too... although only if we get an LT-in-high-demand price. More than 1 pick, more than just a 1st. If it happens this year.. I won't squawk, either.

Yeah. The high point of unemployment under Bush's Great Recession was about 10% I believe, hitting Obama in his first year. From there, during Obama's Presidency unemployment dropped from that 10% to 4.2%, before he handed it over to Trump. So, yeah, he gets credit. Oh, Trump reduced that from 4.2% to 3.5%, so he gets a little bit of credit too. Although, he did NOT change Obama's trendline from pre-2017, so... all he was really doing was riding Obama's coattails. Which everyone knows.

I like that Romad predicted Niko or Jeimer to lead the team in BA, HR's and RBI's, instead of roaringtiger's Miggy guess. Everyone was wrong on all counts. Harold .287 BA, Grossman 23 HR's, and Schoop 84 RBI's (Miggy is next closest at 75). But Jeimer is leading the team in WAR with 3.5, and should end up the season as the leader. I would call that a consolation prize right there...

One question, one comment: What happened to our good Skubal? And on Niko's offensive performance: "A little late in the season for that, Niko."

What's really annoying is that they completely block the screen for 2 minutes with a banner showing who scored, and then who assisted, and then they talk about the goal... BLOCKING the actual live action...! WTF? Stecher scored and we couldn't see anything in the minute leading up to the goal, not the play out of our zone, not the passing, the score... nothing. The replay showed Stecher moving in on the goal and somehow scoring with 4 bodies flopping all over the ice and the goalie, and he somehow threaded it through for a score. But we saw nothing else leading up to that goal. They were talking about Raymond's goal... But having a banner blocking the action, and yapping about the prior goal, as one is CURRENTLY BEING SCORED... way beyond annoying.

I believe it is in the Tigers best interest to NOT sign a FA OF'er but, rather, let these kids grow into whatever they might turn into, before making the decision to spend extra money on that. I just don't seeing jumping the gun in this area. It makes no sense. "Desperately"? What a joke. Our short-term need is not in the OF, it's at Catcher and SS. And a starting pitcher, and a couple AAAA starters for backup, and at least one high-end reliever.

What I take personally are: Liars. Fascism. Racists. The overthrow of American Democracy or, the Constitution of the United States. The current state of the Republican Party is a loser on all of those counts. I am taking this personally starting in 2016. Before that, not so much. And it will stay personal until the destruction of the current Fascist Republican Party of America. And that's not all Trump. After they are defeated politically, maybe things can go back to normal. But I grew up reading extensively about WW II and the Holocaust. I am F'ing enraged what this country has turned into at the hands of white trash racists. The Republicans can take their violent fascism and shove it up their asses. So yes, I'm taking it personal for a little while longer. FYI.
