We're already struggling a lot against Lefties... I don't think you can call up Meadows for Canha unless both Malloy & Meadows are coming up (meaning the Org has decided that Meadows is ready to try MLB again) and Baddoo is sent back down to Toledo. IMO.

This is exactly the demographic that I felt would be most strongly affected by the verdict. Biden-ambivalent, mildly-to-strongly-Anti-Trump. Independents. Indies will be the most strongly effected because Republicans (30% of the country) and Dems (35% of the country) are mostly hard-baked in. Energize the base, and pull in as many Indies as possible. Including suburban and other women upset about Roe v Wade. That wins November.

I don't think a Canha injury should affect an Org decision on Tork. If he's struggling and needs some time in AAA, send him down. That should be the Org decision. Call up Vilade. He's played everywhere on the field, including 1B. I'm not going to call out his fielding as good or bad... I'm just saying they've had him play everywhere. If he gets a 60 day run in Detroit and totally flops... then he was nothing but fool's gold. Why not find that out once and for all? And if it requires losing a 40-man guy... I'm certain one or two at the bottom of the 40 are deserving... Same with Tork (is he gold or fool's gold... let's find out). He either fixes his problems in AAA (both hitting AND fielding), and EARNS a trip back to Detroit. Or he craps out. Either way... that helps Harris make decisions in the off season.

1. First bold... WHAT? Blair had a career WHIP of 1.455. Fiers a career WHIP of 1.27. Flaherty has a career WHIP of 1.19. If they offer him 2 years, or 3, and he takes it, I'll be fine with that. All the injuries are the biggest risk... so it's definitely a risk to extend him. So, if he doesn't accept and prefers FA, then yes, trade him. We'd be lucky to get a good-to-great fielding and above-average-hitting SS or Catcher back in trade... but I think there are a couple out there (meaning AA-AAA guys that are blocked). I will be fine either way... if we get one or the other of these outcomes. 3. I'm calling straight up BS. We are NOT trading all our good players. Horse ****. Where are you getting this garbage? For switch-hitters: Looks like MLB pitchers have adjusted to Perez... here's to hoping he can make his own adjustments (and handle the inside pitches that he now seems to be getting a steady diet of...) and stick in MLB. If he can, there's a decent bat with decent power with decent speed and a decent glove... Nothing outstanding, but if there's enough above average he'll be a useful, slightly above average player that can be spotted in multiple places... Trei Cruz is in Erie but he looks like a backup SS & CF'er at this point, at best... I don't know what his chances are... FRANYERBER Montilla is the same age as Clark and is lighting up the Dominican Leagues... but that's quite a lot further away. I don't know if he sticks at SS or slides over to the left or the right...? Somewhere in the 2B-SS-3B range... Don't know what his chances are or how long it takes... but at least several years down the road...
