  1. I've come around to liking DPJ again... I mean... I loved the cheap trade for him, and he fits the mold of what the team wants in their WR's... And he had that nice production in 2021-22, which is what I was looking to... So I don't know why I wouldn't love him this year. I still love the trade for him... I think my first choice for filling Reynolds' shoes is DPJ. Jaymo to me is whatever we get from him will be explosive and a huge bonus. DPJ to me is the dependable guy that Goff can turn to, in addition to ARSB and LaPorta and... etc. to get 1st downs (especially if those two are getting double coverage... which will happen a lot this season IMO) when we need them. Maybe Green can become this guy also... I just know less about him, and his realistic chances, versus what DPJ has already proven in the NFL.
  2. Dingler has some power but is hitting like Jake Rogers so can only get to it occasionally. I'm fine with him backing up Jake next year... Workman was supposed to have some power but it's probably better at the moment for him to concentrate on hit tool to make certain he can connect enough to get to that power (or even have a chance at getting to MLB to make the attempt...). Luke Gold has some power and is having a nice year at WM, High-A: .568 SLG and .955 OPS. Malloy & Baddoo & Jung as previously stated... Guys who COULD develop power (Briceno, Campos) are too young/ early in development to have shown it much yet... We have SOME power in the system, not a huge amount and there's a lot of risk with what power we have... And not one dominant monster power guy (with enough hit tool to actually get to it) as far as I can see...
  3. Isn't Alim McNeil also eligible for an extension? What's going on with him...? I've heard nothing...
  4. Wednesday games: Toledo - Postponed due to weather again. two games tomorrow and two games Sunday to make up... Erie Loses to Harrisburg 7-4 Workman 1-5, double, .859 OPS Lee 0-5, 2 K's, .743 OPS Trei Cruz 1-3, 1 BB-double, .655 OPS WM Wins 3-1 in 10 Inn's over Peoria Anderson 2-5, (2) singles, .729 OPS Gold 1-5, single, .955 OPS Campos 1-4, single-HBP 3 K's, .751 OPS Joe Miller (2022-11th rounder, 24 yo LH'er), 5 Inn's, 1 H 1 BB 5 K's, 1.00 ERA. Hasn't looked good the past two years but looks great so far in a small sample size this year: 27 Inn's 34 K's 0.78 WHIP and 1.00 ERA. 124 K's overall in 108 Inn's so he has... maybe something good? Lower ranks though... Lakeland Wins 16-1 over Ft. Myers (!!!!!!) Hasn't looked good the past two years but looks great so far in a small sample size this year: 20 Inn's 28 K's 0.93 WHIP and 0.44 ERA. 91 K's overall in 70 Inn's so he has... maybe something good? Lower ranks though...
  5. A 30K bike race would suffice.

  9. We're going to be seeing LOTS of LH'ers from here on out...
  10. Bill the Cat is the perfect mascot for this mangy cat offense.

  12. Wait... let me restate that: Seriously... WTF? Did Reese Olson not take a SHOWER or something like that? Is he stinking up the dugout? Did he put glue all over the bench and all the Tigers' players are pissed off at him? What did he do that they keep giving him these F.U's and NOT scoring enough runs to give him one single ****ing WIN?!?!?! Because he's pitching his ****ing mind out this year and has squat to show for it. How has he ****ed his teammates so badly that they are doing this to him every single game?
  13. Seriously... WTF? We can't score a single ****ing RUN against Ryan MF'ing Weathers?
  14. Seriously... WTF? Ryan MF'ing Weathers is pitching a no-hitter against us...?
  15. I thought the scouting prospect analysis on Hooker was that he a bit like Goff but with better mobility: accurate, reads the field well, has some arm strength but not howitzer level like a Stafford, and some mobility whenever needed to make something out of broken plays. He had a mid-1st round grade but slipped due to age and the ACL. IIRC. If he's Lite or Super-Lite-Rodgers it's good enough for a backup... IMO. Brilliant move by Holmes to draft him... and buddha was correct: he was available in the 3rd and we didn't need to use a 2nd round pick (which I was willing to spend on him) to get him...
  16. Hooker will be QB2 for the Lions for the next 3 years. Book it.
  17. MQGA delusion.
  18. 3,275 years. Or more.
  19. You keep him. As a Super Bowl potential team, who do you want as a backup if Goff should get nicked up a few games, or miss a playoff game, or worst-case the remainder of a season? Nate Sudfeld? Or Hendon Hooker? IMO, Hooker is an awesome best-case backup for at least the next 3 years. Full stop.
  20. Offense bailed us out this game... Wait...! WHAT?!?!
  21. Tigers are winning 3-0 BTW...
  22. I don't remember ever seeing keith with that high of a power expectation? I always thought it was 55-60? But maybe it ticked up as he filled out after high school?
  23. PS: On Tork's 2020 Draft: 1. Torkelson 2. Dingler 2B (comp) Daniel Cabrera 3. Trei Cruz 4. Gage Workman 5. Colten Keith UDFA: Wilmer Flores Trei Cruz & Workman appear to be making a bit of a move upwards with their hit tools. Gage obviously moreso than Trei. The only real laggard at the moment is Danny Cabrera and he was supposed to have a great hit tool which hasn't panned out. Aside from Tork's struggles... there is still a lot of "potential" (dirty word, sorry...) coming out of this draft. On the whole...
  24. I think he was getting arm soreness at 3B so they brought him over to 2B to lessen the throws for him...
