If the various companies were publicly traded, they would be subject to SEC regulation. Because he's a DoD contractor he is subject to Federal Acquisiiton Regulation (FAR). Since the work he does is subject to security clearance measures, he is subject to the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) which does not like it if your CEO is talking to an adversary country's leader.

Hoping that Elon Musk has his ability to be on DOD contracts taken away.

Fine article. The story about Taft being a problem on NATO was really interesting. I was against the Democrats in part because people like Ted Kennedy were in bed with the Sandinstas. I'm all about the centripedal force bringing things back to the center. I root for the general in Narcos who cannot be bought. I'm an Elliot Ness man. Whereas, Trump and his chaos commandos are centrifugal. They spin things away from norms and toward the naked worship of power.
