  1. Still gonna stick with my prediction that Sanders goes to the Dolphins in the 4th
  2. The end of Adolescence episode 2................It's a continuous one shot (which is unreal how they pulled that off), but how it transitioned to a drone shot for that last scene. No edits. That was incredible. They had to attach the camera to a drone seamlessly. I want to see a behind the scenes of that. It was breathtaking. And the thing is, after watching the first episode, I didn't realize that it was all done in one continuous shot until I read about it and it made me marvel at how well it was done and how much planning must have gone into it. Bravo TV is better than movies now. It really is and to me the gap is widening - by a lot, every year. Used to be that an actor going from TV to movies was slumming, but not anymore. I'd put Noah Wyle's performance in The Pitt up against any Oscar-nominated actor in the last 5 years and he might not even win the Emmy. I think movies got too obsessed with special effects and green screens that telling a great story got lost. A good old-fashioned drama like Conclave or The Holdovers is getting to be more rare. Stories on television - well you really get to tell a story and really get to dive into character arcs and blur the lines between good person/bad person. This was all started by the Sopranos, which was a movie-scale production 12 times a season.
  3. In job interviews for really important positions, recruiters and HR people absolutely count how many times a candidate says I instead of We or You. I wonder what Shedeur said in his more often. We heard from an anonymous source that he was the worst interview the source ever experienced.
  4. Wow, Nice start for Brian Schottenheimer. But honestly, with all his flaws, Jerry actually gives his head coaches a chance, so maybe. You know how the Cowboys love headlines. Also, ESPN would probably masturbate itself to death if that happened.
  5. I'm not sure about that now. It's going to have to be a team that has a rock solid #1 QB that can't be questioned because if it's someone with a shaky #1 QB, Deion and his minions are going to apply outside pressure that no team wants or needs. And as you said, "the only cause he stood for is himself". There is a lot to that. Things have changed. Pure talent alone is fine for most other positions, but not QB. Saying this is about race is such an insult to Cam Ward and Jalen Milroe. It's about Dad now. Teams avoided the Ball brothers in the NBA because they didn't want Dad being around causing problems. It's going to be much worse with Deion. He's just a big distractting neon sign. What coach in this league wants to draft a guy knowing that people will be clamoring for his Dad to take their job? Um....None. Do you think the Cleveland Browns, still smarting over that albatross DeShaun Watson, are going to want t QB with more baggage? Nope. Maybe the Raiders with the 5th pick in the 4th round. The Raiders love a good circus. They seem to be on New Coach Every Year plan. I'm sure they'd love having Deion around. After the Raiders you have BEARS NOPE(don't need a QB), JETS - MAYBE(bringing the circus to NYC spells disaster, but Woody gonna Woody), EAGLES NOPE (don't upset the apple cart) SAINTS NOPE (already drafted a QB) 49ers NOPE (I just don't see it) PANTHERS NOPE (Bryce Young finally started showing last year, don't F with that) CARDINALS NOPE (QB already in his prime) DOLPHINS - POSSIBLE (they need to start planning for a Tua-less future) COLTS - NOT LIKELY (Still Smarting from Richardson, they need a stabilizer) FALCONS - MAYBE (they're good at stupid moves) BENGLES - NOPE (why would they?) I say Dolphins in he 4th round. Take some spotlight off Tua, let him Sanders learn a little)
  6. Oh, and the race issue will of course come up. Cam Ward and Jalen Milroe are black, so it might not be that. He must have interviewed epically bad.
  7. And Rich Eisen had a point last night. You're heading into day 3 and this is the time where you're drafting backups and are teams going to want to pick a guy as a backup who will be getting all the attention? Maybe there is a team out there that doesn't want their players getting all the attention, so they'd be fine with the backup QB. But imagine this. I'll just throw a random team out there - The Miami Dolphins. Tua is one hit away from it being over (he probably should have retired already). Maybe the Dolphins don't want the spotlight on him at all times, maybe they draft Sanders, but every time Tua misses a pass or has a bad game or even limps, Dad is going to be on Social Media talking about how his son should take over. That might be the biggest thing. Deion would never shut up. I think it's already ridiculous that he retired his son's number, but teams are thinking about that angle too. Is this kid so transcendent that he's worth all that? The GM's aspirin budget would go up too.
  8. I want a WV electric microbus. See, when I win the lottery, I am going to get one of those. Have some conversions done to it, so the back had a fold down bed and then I am going to have a mini mobile studio built in it and record my radio shows while traveling. Road Trip Radio will be the show. And I will go to every ball park I can all summer.
  9. NFL teams look for Game Managers at QB now. They all have talent if they are considered for the draft. I am thinking they just don't see him as a leader, but I think another issue might be his father. Teams don't want the constant "Are you going to hire Deion questions?" I think the Ball brothers lost draft value in the NBA because of their father and the non stop circus and I think it might be similar here. Something tells me he had an attitude like Ryan Leaf in this interviews. The Colts said after interviewing Leaf they immediately knew they didn't want to draft him. Some in the Chargers organization warned the GM about him. That he just wasn't going to buy in 100% and totally immerse himself into the game. That's what teams are looking for - and honestly they should with the money they're gonna pay these guys.
  10. Trump is demanding that the DOJ raid offices of NFL teams because they didn't draft a guy who's father was a great player.
  11. Where did D'Pez Poopsie go?
  12. But with the roster constructed the way it is now, which is pretty deep, as Motown Bombers said 3rd/4th/5th round guys aren't really a need for them anymore, like they used to be. Look, you can't take last year as an example of a lack of depth because they had a freakishly abnormal amount of injures, and they still held it together until the playoffs. Guys they'd take in those middle rounds - they already have those guys. They have their own way of measuring talent and it's served them very well. Let it marinate. I don't think they're going to miss the guys that would have been available in those rounds. There are specific reasons they moved up for these guys. Just let it marinet. Trust in Brad.
  13. Not watching the draft this year. I don't find it all that intriguing when our team isn't trying to salvage their franchise and I think all the speculation is a bit silly since we'll have no idea how any of this really plays out until about 2028. But I guess Mel Kiper is absolutely freaking out over Shedeur Sanders' epic fall. I am not surprised. He's not all that good and when you're not that good, but as arrogant as he apparently is, it's going to turn teams off. It just is. But I don't understand how Mel Kiper is in the position he's in. We complain about weathermen/weatherwomen being wrong and they have a MUCH better track record than Kiper. Kiper is a clown. He's a bigger B.S. artists than politicians and HR Directors. Somehow he nerded his way onto TV 40 years ago and he's been wrong ever since. Oh, yeah, he hits on a few. Blind Squirrel meet Nut. I just don't get how he stays in this position. From what I have been reading, Sanders' attitude is a mix of Ryan Leaf and his Dad. Both of those players were better than Shedeur Sanders. Kiper The Clown.
  14. I trust Brad. Every year he gets questioned. Every year he seems to do it right.
  15. ESPN talked about Williams this morning. They talked about how the Lions picking him might effect the Cowboys.
  16. I spelled it Thom Hanks. I've been writing the name Thom Yorke way too much.
  17. Comedy is subjective, like music. Hardest I ever heard my dad laugh was seeing the movie Big where Thom Hanks is eating the mini corn like a corn on the cob at the Christmas Party. I mean, it was funny, but not as funny as HE thought.
  18. The four movies that made you laugh the most. Heck, it could be a drama that was so bad it made you laugh.
  19. One of Mongo's finest moments. Getting Angel Hernandez to throw him out of Wrigley Field. R.I.P.
  20. Pick 4 that would be your Mount Rushmore Mine (in alphabetical Order) Airplane Raising Arizona South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut This Is Spinal Tap (four movies, to me, that don't really miss a single joke). (sorry to have to leave Blazing Saddles and Animal House off the list)
  21. I played Edge Of Seventeen on the air this afternoon in honor of Dingler and told the listeners every time he hits a home run in a day game, I'm playing it.
  22. The Tigers are getting national attention. On ESPN today they speculated how the Tigers good start might affect the Dallas Cowboys draft.
  23. We don't celebrate Home Runs anymore. We celebrate VICTORIES !
