  1. Forgot about Big V being able to play RT, in that case then yeah this would probably be better but even so I just worry about messing with a good thing. V looked great at RG as did everybody else on the line, if we just replace the LT yeah we take a massive downgrade there but maybe they could set up some schemes to not expose him too much and we still could play to the strength of the right side. IDK it hurts either way, I'm just trying to think of what mitigates the damage the best.
  2. Definitely true but I feel that he's going to be terrifying at RT too but atleast at LT everybody else on the line is in their comfort zones. I'm just worried that moving Sewell to the left he could struggle(by struggle I mean not play as well as he has been on the right side) and then you'd still have the massive downgrade on the right side by taking Sewell away from there.
  3. Decker ruled out and Paschal to the Injured reserve. I don't know if they plan on moving Sewell to LT but I think I'd prefer to just leave him where he is at, I feel moving him to LT you potentially downgrade at two positions instead of one.
  4. Skubal has the one thing that them two don't or didn't and that's the explosive fastball that can get swings and misses in and out of the zone.
  5. Skubal has almost literallly been the best pitcher in baseball this year since he has come back. No starter with atleast the same amount of innings or more as him has a lower xERA. If and its a big if but if he stays healthy it looks like we got atleast 1 Ace out of our big 3 pitching prospects from a few years ago.
  6. 2nd round curse, Godspeed to Laporta and Branch.
  7. It sucks that we already have a statue at first cause if Jung is reliable with balls that are hit in his range but just doesnt have the ability to get to balls out of his immediate vicinity than a better 1B may beable to cover for some of those issues but with Tork that obviously wouldn't be the case.
  8. Id also question Urban's desire to come to a place where he knows he is going to be behind Michigan, OSU, Penn State and now USC just in his own conference for recruits and resources.
  9. The reports I read say that he makes all the routine plays so if that's true making the routine plays and not making any major blunders may be good enough in other managers eyes to be worthy of the award in High A since his counterparts may not even be able to do that. Or in other words his defense may not translate to the MLB level but is more than fine for High A.
  10. Miggy in 2016. Just a pathetic drought, particularly when you consider the rabbit ball and rise of HRs throughout the league. Oh well Tork only needs 2 more now to put that drought to bed.
  11. I saw just saw a thing on twitter that said that CJGJ asked Lions fans to wear blue ski masks to the game the other day and apparently amazon has now sold out of them so it should definitely be a crazy environment. Also we are getting Fox's number 1 broadcast team with Burkhaldt, Greg Olsen, Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi.
  12. I don't know what the outcome is going to be for this game but one thing I am pretty confident in is that I don't think the Lions are going to be looking past Seattle or anything like that. If they do end up losing or even worse laying an egg and getting blown out I'm sure some people and the media will say things like that but I don't think that will have been the reason why.
  13. Staying put and taking Carter was definitely my option A at the time but one thing we have to keep in mind is that assuming they didn't take him due to off the field concerns those concerns aren't likely to show themselves early in his career. The questions were about his motivation or being lazy, you're not going to be lazy or unmotivated in your first NFL game, we'll have to see how he performs game in game out throughout a long NFL season(s). But yeah if he plays anything like he did this week teams including the Lions are going to regret passing on him.
  14. Jobe starting in the regular season finale for the Seawolves on Sunday. Don't know how the AA playoffs work but Erie is in them so he may pitch there as well. Either way I wouldn't be shocked if he pitched in AFL this year since he hasn't thrown that many innings.
  15. Either do I, I was sorta being tongue and cheek since I know the Lions have no interest in trading him but Im also curious to know if there would be any legit interest and what they would be willing to give up if there was.
  16. Wonder what they would give for Teddy?
  17. On a side note in regards to the Rodgers injury is that now GB will only be receiving a 2nd from the Jets vs. a 1st rounder if he played 65% of the snaps. That is a little bit of good news for the Lions.
  18. Achilles tear has been confirmed for Rodgers.
  19. Memorizing Edwin Jackson and Octavio Dotel's teams is an immaculate grid cheat code.
  20. The low walk totals has been the most pleasant surprise for me. From what I could gather from reading articles about him though is that it sounds like it's more control then command along with just having wicked stuff that maybe more advanced hitters won't offer at, we shall see going forward.
  21. Don't have access to all PFF grades but saw the 5 highest and lowest and I couldn't believe that McNeil was our highest graded defender and 2nd only to Vaitai overall. I remember him making a stop in the backfield sometime in the 2nd half and that was the only time I recalled hearing his name called.
  22. Gibbs forced 6 missed tackles on only 9 touches. Insane!
  23. You get your rare Alex Rodriguez, Griffey JR. and Chipper Jones here and there but for the most part number 1 picks in baseball haven't really been world beaters so I don't think there would be anything wrong with your number 1 pick "only" having a 125-130 rc+, even at 1st base.
  24. The happiest non Lions fan is Chris Jones. I think we just made him alot of money.
