Ahh Matt Nokes, one of my first favorite Tigers as a kid only cause we shared the first name Matt and I thought that was cool at that age.

Season starts with a line drive off the foot and ends with a line drive off the foot. Just terrible luck. The good news is that it isn't his arm and he was pitching great to end the season so atleast his season ended with him pitching well instead of getting rocked for several starts. I'm still bullish on him going forward but hopefully he will prove me wrong and end up being a mid 3s ERA pitcher going forward.

In regards to Jung at 2b Bowden says(so take it for fwiw) that what he sees and hears is that Jung doesnt have good range there and certainly is never gonna be plus but he does make the routine plays so he won't kill you if you put him there. Not exactly a ringing endorsement but it sounds like if you really need to get his bat in the lineup and DH is occupied he can handle himself there if need be but probably not somebody you want to plug there for 150 games.

Clark's been struggling at Lakeland but Im thinking it could just be him wearing down after a long season. I don't think it's unusual for HS picks to start to struggle at this point in the season their first year. Of course Mconigle seems to be doing just fine but he could be more of an exception and not the rule.

Kelce is a blow to the Chiefs but history has shown that elite QBs with an offensive mind like Reid can get by without their top pass catchers. Its when they lose their top o lineman when they have problems.

Didnt realize Stanton had 400 bombs. Yeah he's been breaking down over the years but in the games he plays he still hits them at an elite rate so only being 33 I could see him maybe getting to 500. If he doesnt its hard to see any player getting there in the next 10-15 years, maybe Manny Machado or Judge if he keeps hitting 50+ a year but both are far from sure things.

I think so, every year there are a few teams that when you look back at the end of the season or even midpoint you think to yourself "how were they ranked that high?" and I think TCU and Clemson can both be those teams this year. I saw a tweet by somebody last night that said that Clemson lost something like 20 players to the portal including their starting QB l and only picked up 1 player in return and that wasn't even accounting for any players drafted.

They never explained it but after looking at the replay it appeared that the ECU got part of his hand on the ball for a fraction of a second while his foot was out of bounds thus ruling the ball immediately dead.

I'm sure they'll pull away in the 2nd half but OSU is struggling with Indiana. 10-3 at halftime and really should be 7-3 but Indiana went for it on 4th down around midfield with 40 seconds left in the half. If they punted away OSU likely just takes a knee and head to the lockerroom.
