  1. Weird not seeing Crosby kick for GB.
  2. Lions going with the all white unis just like they wore in Lambeau last year and in KC. Lets hope they continue to bring good things!
  3. Decker and Montgomery officially active but Kerby Joseph was just declared inactive.
  4. Before Granderson, Bobby Higginson was the last home grown Tiger to do it in I believe 00 or 01.
  5. Yeah good point, I always forget about that stipulation. In that case then if Campos is eligible then we don't have to worry about protecting him since he's nowhere near ready for the majors.
  6. One thing I'm looking and hoping for in these final 5 games is a Tork HR, not that it's some major deal but I would like for the Tigers to finally have a 30HR season for the first time in 8 seasons.
  7. I wonder how long they wait till they put up his statue? I don't necessarily want them to do it next year but I hope it's not one of those things like the Lions with Barry where they wait almost 25 years to do it.
  8. He says now that he expects a Gibbs coming out party but the first time he gets a handoff that doesn't go for 6+ yards he is going to call for Ben Johnsons head.
  9. That's good news, let's just hope that they are effective cause they won't be doing us any favors if they are too injured to play close to their normal levels.
  10. Not super concerned about Montgomery even though it would be nice to have him but not having Decker does suck. Nice to get Mosely back atleast.
  11. Could be but it's not like these teams are involved in the playoff chase at all so it wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't made up.
  12. Worth noting that the Bucks better hope like hell this is enough to pacify Giannis and have him not walk in a couple years. I don't think he will but IF he does they will basically have to start over without the luxury of having lottery picks as they pick swapped and traded all their 1sts for the foreseeable future. This is truly an all in move.
  13. I don't think I could bet anything big on the Pistons cause I think it's just too hard to quantify the difference a healthy and hopefully improved Cade will have on the team along with a new coaching staff. Could it be 5 wins?, 10? Or even 15? Hell maybe none at all. Its just too big of unknown for me to put any substantial amount of money on.
  14. Admittedly I don't know much about all the guys involved in the trade but I of course know about Holiday and from what I saw of him on the Bucks I think he is going to be a big loss for them and Im not so sure they are a whole lot better with Dame there instead of him. And that's not even factoring in whatever they gave up.
  15. I seem to recall the consensus being that after using 1sts on London and Pitts the previous 2 years and already boasting a top 10 rushing attack that they were gonna go a different route than a skill player.
  16. For those wondering, I just checked the forecast in GB tomorrow and it looks like it's going to be a perfect night for football. Low 60s/upper 50s and clear so it appears we aren't going to have to worry about crappy weather.
  17. They may have tried getting greedy and hoped that they could trade back and still get him, that way you kinda hedge yourself a bit if he does become a Nick Fairley by getting the extra pick but I personally don't think so just cause of Chicago and Philly being ahead of them and both having rumored interest in him. Who knows, they probably didnt foresee Atlanta taking Bijan and if he dropped to Philly they very well may have taken him over Carter leaving Jalen for the Lions.
  18. Yeah to me it's pointless to see how he plays right now in the terms of seeing if they messed up by passing on him. Like you said everybody knew he could play, it was the motivational and off the field concerns why teams passed on him. Those things aren't going to show up your first month in the league when you're motivated to show the world what you got. Lets see how things go come December or in year 3 or 4 of your career. Also he is in the perfect situation for him, is on an elite team like he was used to in college which helps with motivation, has some of the best coaches in the league and plays on the best defensive line in football and against the best o line in practice. Who knows if he would turn out to be the same player in a different environment.
  19. Idk why but Love just strikes me as the type of QB that will either go out and look like an MVP or go out and look like he should be a backup.
  20. I think it's cool that the Lions play on Thursday instead of Sunday this week so Miggys last game can be the focal point of the Detroit fan and news coverage that day. I guess it still might be an afterthought but I think if the Lions were playing it probably would get alot less attention by everybody.
  21. I read last week that the Tigers starters have the best ERA in baseball since the start of August and considering there last handful of starts I imagine that is still the case. Getting 2 months of arguably the best starting pitching in baseball can go a long way. Hell and this was after trading Lorenzen, EROD reverting back to the mean and Manning getting injured. Fetter and everybody else that has had a hand in it should be walking around the clubhouse like a bunch of bosses.
  22. My AAT Parker Meadows is trying to finish the year strong, he got off to that hot start when he got called up only to come down to the Earth and hit a horrible stretch of a few weeks but now he is starting to climb his way back up. Getting his OPS back close to league average after tonight's home run.
  23. I can't say for certain but my memory tells me that the Lions ran some screens with Swift last year, I specifically remember a TD he had against Washington but maybe that wasn't a screen, instead him just being a checkdown. I'd have to go back and watch the highlight.
  24. The screen pass to Gibbs sounds good on paper and to the layman like me it does seem like a good idea but I just have to tell myself that Campbell and Johnson aren't complete idiots, its not like the thought of a screen pass hasnt crossed their mind so there has to be a reason why it hasn't been called. I'm guessing it has something to do with the patchwork o line cause for screens to work you need precision and perfect timing between your o line, rb and QB and maybe Johnson and Campbell just don't have the confidence in the backups to pull that off right.
