  1. I will say in Wander's defense seeing pics of the girl she could pass for 19 or 20 especially since she reportedly has a 13 month old kid already and was seen driving, so I don't think Wander is a total creep that is into girls that age. But either way its not a good look, illegal and ultimately his responsibility to make sure the person is of age.
  2. Its bad enough missing balls and strikes but throwing out DKB is where I draw the line. DKB is the type of guy that would go out of his way to find the umps after the game to tell them good job whether they really did one or not.
  3. Rays happen to have a hat giveaway today for fans 14 and under so Wander's alleged girlfriend would've just made the cutoff.
  4. I think this one landed near Cedar Point.
  5. Have to see the replay but watching live it seems like Carpenter should've got to that ball, either way still doesn't look as bad in Fenway RF as Torii Hunter looked there.
  6. He saw her talking to ladies man Johnny Kane and realized that he had to do something special.
  7. I mean I'll be pulling for Manning but I just don't see anything special in him now. Ordinary stuff, sub par command, inconsistent and no plus pitches. At this point I have much more faith in Reese Olson becoming legit than Manning. To me Manning is a back end starter at best that needs BABIP luck to succeed.
  8. ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 132 9/9: Rarity: 122 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 Play at: https://immaculategrid.com @immaculategrid x @baseball_ref Pretty easy today in terms of getting the answers but with the categories I think it made it harder to get a low rarity score.
  9. Another Carp bomb, this one to the opposite field just clearing the Green Monster, 1-0 Tigers!
  10. Ty Madden has multiple family members that work in law enforcement so that's why he hasn't been called up. Too risky for Deuce.
  11. Adduci is doing back round checks on all the potential call ups, once he finishes that then they'll announce the promotions.
  12. A great route runner and savvy veteran like Beasley is basically uncoverable against rookies and guys like Will Harris so not really surprised that he keeps getting open.
  13. Sucks to see two big drops by Laporta and Williams on a positive note Gibbs looks good and he appears bigger to me than he did in college. Not gonna be mistaken for Derrick Henry or anything but he doesn't look noticeably small like I thought he might on an NFL field.
  14. Erie in the 3rd inning and Bigbie already 2-2 with a HR. He just keeps on hitting!
  15. First off I'd like to bring back E-Rod and sign somebody like a Kenta Maeda to a shorter contract. Since we don't have any clear impact arms in the system that will be lined up for next year I think it's imperative that we sign atleast 2 FA pitchers that you can reasonably count on whether it be them two or two others. In this scenario we'd have Skubal, Rodriguez, Mize, Maeda and Olson/Manning(one in the rotation other in the BP) lined up in the rotation which if all goes well would be pretty formidable. In the BP I'd like to add atleast 1 proven guy via FA as there are quite a few of them available. I think between that guy and Olson/Manning, Foley, Brieske, Lange and whatever potential guys we have down on the farm I think the bullpen would be good enough to win with, especially since it seems like Fetter and Hinch have been able to get the most out of the guys they have. As for the big question mark, the everyday players and lineup it's hard to see them improving via FA so any improvements will probably have to either come within or if Harris can pull a DD and find an upgrade via trade. One FA that I would be interested in that should be within our budget is JD Martinez. I know we feel like somebody like Carpenter can take over the full time DH role with Cabrera gone but I'd like to get a proven slugger to pencil in there and JD is just that. If Carpenter continues to hit I think his defense is passable enough that he we could put him in the OF along with DH on JD off days. I'm thinking along the lines of if it's a 6 game week have JD play 5 of them with 1 day off and have Carp DH 1 day, play the field 4 games and 1 game off. My projected lineup would look something like this.. 1. Greene OF (130 OPS+ 2023) 2. Vierling 3B (99 OPS+) 3. JD DH (128 OPS +) 4. Tork 1B (99 OPS+) 5. Carpenter OF (121 OPS+) 6. Rogers C (100 OPS+) 7. Keith 2B 8. Baez SS 9. Meadows CF I think that lineup has the potential to be good enough to win with particularly if Tork finally breaks out and Keith ends up being a plus bat from the start. If that were to happen you'd have 3 All Star level bats in Greene, Carp and JD, two plus ones in Keith and Tork, 2 average ones with Matty V and Rogers and only 1 black hole in Baez.
  16. I'm fine with Rogers being our starting catcher, he isn't perfect but there aren't a whole lot of guys out there that we could conceivably get that would be an upgrade. Hell there really aren't a whole lot of guys better than him right now period.
  17. Madden got knocked around his start before yesterday but aside from that he has been straight dominant for almost 2 months now. Outside of the aforementioned start Madden has given up 13 HITS total in his last 6 starts.
  18. BTW this is the first time we have won 3 straight games since May 5th.
  19. That's good to hear, ideally I'd like for him to make a few starts this year to workout some of the post TJ kinks. Between that, what he does in the offseason and then the starts he makes in Spring Training maybe he will shed some of the post TJ command issues by the 2024 regular season. Or at the very least maybe they won't drag on too long and he'll be back to normal relatively early in the season.
  20. Has there been an update on Mize? Just made me think of him when I saw an article about Walker Buehler saying he plans on returning in September, Buehler had TJ surgery like 6 weeks after Mize did last year so if he is ready to return by then you would think Mize may be as well. This is Buehler's second TJ surgery though so maybe that makes the recovery quicker, I'm not really sure.
  21. It appears Max should definitely be in Lakeland, is it just a matter of not having room there or something?
  22. Damn that was a bomb from Greene, that has to be the longest that I can recall him hitting.
  23. He's just kissing up to his new fan base, no different than just about every other athlete does so I take no offense to it.
  24. What I liked though is how he brought up how Gerrit Cole(like prime JV) has managed to stay healthy because he picks his spots when he wants to dial it up, unlike Degrom who would throw 102 from the opening pitch and in turn has been injured constantly. So even though he may emulate or compare to DeGrom stuff wise he seems to be wise enough to know that pitching like him isn't the best thing health wise.
  25. Edman would know about this if it is true but I heard the Dodgers created more room in their international pool at the deadline cause there is a guy they are targeting to sign, I wonder if the Leonard trade helped with that.
