  1. I'm happy as hell they won but this just goes to show how bad the team is overall, I mean they shot 50% from the field, 43 from deep, 35-40 from the line, got great games by Cunningham, Ivey, Duren and unlikely guys like Knox, didn't turn it over all that much yet only won by 2 at home against a mediocre team. There's just no margin for error at all with the team.
  2. Pathetic possession. The o line has been dreadful thus far.
  3. Pistons end their losing streak and Hutchinson gets a sack in the same night!!
  4. Pathetic goal line series there and it all started with the whiff block on 1st down.
  5. My least favorite rule in the NFL but assuming it stands I will certainly take the break!
  6. I know you can't just take away the two biggest plays of the game but when those two plays are cause of two missed tackles I don't think it's that unfair...so with that said aside from Barnes whiff on Prescott and Sutton's whiff on Lamb the Lions defense has looked solid.
  7. Looking at that slo mo going to the break and it looked like Barnes had Prescott right in his crosshairs but literally didn't even attempt to tackle him, like didn't even stick his arms out until Prescott already stepped away from the pressure.
  8. "I always land on all fours.....like a cat."
  9. Cade taking over and Ivey hits a big 3 Pistons up 11, do you believe in miracles folks?
  10. Damn the Raptors shot 80% in the 3rd quarter!
  11. Greg reminding the folks that the Raptors "just" won the championship 4 years ago...ignoring the fact that they no longer have Kawhi, Van Vleet, Lowry and others off that team.
  12. By my count the Pistons have already missed 6 shots at the rim, granted some were contested but still shots you got to make especially when you can't shoot from deep.
  13. Also while I appreciate guys "working their tail off" that shouldn't be enough to get playing time when you have shown time and time again that you are a liability out on an NBA court.
  14. Yeah FSU is basically playing a bunch of freshmen and backups meanwhile Georgia is trying to make a statement so hard to put too much stock in the result.
  15. As much as I hate him it feels like Killian is due for his once in a month or so good game that gets people like JEIII hyping him back up, maybe this will be the night.
  16. Yeah I counted a couple weeks ago to see how they compare to the Lions in terms of calendar wins and 9 is what I got as well. For comparison the Lions have 13(won 2 in early January last year).
  17. I'm sure Cade will sign the extension since that gets him the most money but I'm not so sure that he wont just pull a typical NBA superstar and demand a trade right after signing that extension. edit: Just saw Del's post about him having to play atleast 1 season under the extension before being traded, did not know that.
  18. Kuzma is probably right though, I would have to imagine at this point teams will be more up to play the Pistons and not look past them than they would be if they weren't in this losing streak. Like he said you don't want to be the team that loses to them.
  19. I'm sure if/when it gets to this point I will change my views and be solely focused on winning but as of right now I really would be content just putting on a good competitive game and of course not suffering any major injuries.
  20. Assuming Weaver does eventually get canned at some point this season I feel bad for whomever has to come in and try to clean up his mess. They would get gifted a potential young star player in Cade but he's also almost due an extension and who knows if he will even want to stay here. Other than that though there is really not alot of redeeming qualities about this roster. Another good thing though is that given his track record you would get to work with a patient Owner, you figure he's going to give you atleast 4 years to try to get things moving in the right direction before your seat gets hot.
  21. I want to give some excuse in the fact that we didn't get the best of lottery luck 3 of the 4 Weaver years but lets be honest in 2020 he probably would've taken Wiseman first if he had the chance and in 22 taken Ivey at 3 or 4 anyway as well.
  22. I brought this up in a previous game thread but aside from all the physical problems on this team I can't get over how low of IQ they play with so often, especially in transition. Admittedly I've only watched about 10 games this year and of course watch with a closer eye on the Pistons then I do their opponents so maybe other teams have the same problem but I swear so often they will have numbers and it so rarely feels like it leads to an easy bucket due to how they play it. Maybe the stats will show otherwise but I swear the feeling atleast when I watch is that they don't take advantage enough of those opportunities.
  23. Bogey and Burks need to shoot 40%+ from 3 to offset what little else they do, today they were only 5-15. Also is it possible to have both Cade and Ivey play a good game at the same time? Ivey missed so many easy looks along with some free throws.
  24. In a vacuum I like Ausar and Duren and not writing either off yet but its looking like the Pistons would have been better served getting 2 more offensive pieces before worrying about drafting defensive guys in the lottery.
