  1. Still looks more athletic than Hockenson did when he was here.
  2. I'm surprised Hutchinson didn't get a single vote just cause I would've figured there be atleast 1 person that put stock into the advanced stats and pff grades which showed that he was worthy of atleast a 2nd team vote.
  3. Tough to argue against Carroll particularly if you give extra points for CFB success as well but in terms of NFL coaches I think Reid for sure is ahead of him and guys like Tomlin and John Harbaugh have a good argument as well.
  4. Cause I feel the Lions are the better team, probably be 55/45 on a neutral field but get the 5 point bump for home field advantage. Yes the Rams are playing better now but you can't just throw out the rest of the season like it didn't happen and if you look at virtually every metric the Lions have been the superior team.
  5. It's not gonna be easy but it's the playoffs so that's the way it should be. I'd say that the Lions have a 60/40 advantage so they should win this game majority of the time but it's far from a slam dunk which again is what you should expect come playoff time.
  6. Just looking at the weather forecast and it looks pretty nasty all weekend, the key thing for me was the "watch out for power outages" warning in the one article I read. That would be the absolute worst if a big portion of Metro Detroit ends up having to miss the game due to that.
  7. Ivey was blessed with 99 level straight line speed but like 0 lateral and side to side speed. Its so weird.
  8. There was about a 5 minute stretch where Michigan's wpa dropped below 50% in the Bama game but other than that every minute of every game Michigan's win probability was completely in their favor and to me that is the most impressive thing about the undefeated season. They were virtually never in any dire trouble of losing at any point outside of 5 minutes. Just always in complete control.
  9. It could be that but iirc I was looking up most popular teams in Europe last year when there was speculation about us potentially playing there and believe it or not some of the things I found showed that Carolina was one of the top teams there. Have no real explanation why though.
  10. Yeah Campbell and Iffy making big strides in the 2nd half really helped turn the defense from bad to atleast averagish.
  11. This was about my peak hockey fandom even though I was only 12 years old. All throughout grade school baseball and hockey were my two favorite sports and the ones I followed then once I got to middle school all the kids from other elementaries that we joined with were big basketball and football kids so I started getting more involved with that to fit in and hockey basically went on the backburner for me. Even with the Wings winning I really didn't care cause all my friends at the time didn't care about them or hockey so I followed suit So yeah that 94 Stanley Cup when I was in my last year of Elementary School was probably the last time hockey was ever in the forefront for me.
  12. It may only be 8 hours but we may get lucky and the difference between the game being on Prime Time vs. 1 pm is enough for LaPorta to be ready. Like you get up early in the morning to try testing it and it may just not feel right which gives you hesitation about playing but by mid to late afternoon it could feel alot better.
  13. According to Shefter the Bears are not making a HC change and are sticking with Eberflus.
  14. You can definitely turn things around fast if you land the right coach and nail a draft or 2. Particularly if one of the players you nail in the draft is a qb like Houston did.
  15. The game drew on average a little over 25 million viewers making it the most watched Championship game in 4 seasons.
  16. The Rams also got incredibly fortunate in that playoff run on who they faced. Got a free falling Cardinals team, a Bucs team without half their starting o line and 2 best defenders, a banged up 10 win 49ers team and a 9 win Bengals team in the Super Bowl. It was about as easy of playoff run as one could get and I have no doubt that Goff could've beaten those same teams if given the chance.
  17. I saw a pic on ESPN's YT page of the Championship rings and all I got to say is that I hope those aren't the official ones or only ones that the team will get cause theres like no Michigan personalization at all and filled with ESPN branding. It almost looks like ESPN was the team that won the championship.
  18. It always amazes me how quickly things can change in the NFL for coaches. Its such a "what have you done for me lately" league. A few years ago Vrabel was basically viewed like Campbell is now, he was the guy that teams were looking or hoping they could find in their next head coach. Then he has a couple down years with subpar talent and suddenly he gets fired. It's like the guy didn't just forget how to coach or lead a team in 2 to 3 years. I just hope if the Lions ever get in a similar situation they don't do the same to Campbell.
  19. Btw I guess critiquing pbp announcers is what things come down to after you win a championship since were so accustomed to being critical of something. Lol
  20. It could be for me that its just cause I known him so long as a radio host that it sounds weird hearing him do pbp. I had the same issues with Dan Miller when he started calling the Lions, before then I knew him so long as the Fox 2 Sports guy that it just didn't seem right to me hearing him call games but of course I ended up getting used to it and now wouldn't trade him for anybody.
  21. Agreed about Karsh, been listening to his radio shows for years and love him but from what Ive heard of his play by play stuff(only heard the snippets from big plays) he isn't very good at that. Just doesn't have the voice for it imo atleast for the big moments anyway.
  22. Also while none of those games outside of Iowa were true blowouts I think Michigan controlled virtually all of them from start to finish with the exception of falling behind to Bama. And even that game most would agree that UM was clearly outclassing them and really just some ST gaffes stopped it from being a more convincing victory.
  23. Im already looking forward to next season, yeah between losing Harbaugh, JJ, Corum and others we have alot to replace but I think the team still could be really good so long as we keep the rest of the coaching staff. The defense was the key to the team and we're returning a bunch of key guys so that should still be elite, if we can find even a game manager type QB we should be able to muster up enough points to win. Also Im most looking forward to the schedule, this season was awesome but it felt like basically preseason until November which was pretty boring in eyes. From a fans viewing experience It's going to be nice playing big games throughout the season even if we likely are to lose some.
  24. Its amazing how things changed right when you made that thread. We just come off the tough loss to MSU which further added fuel to the "Harbaugh can't win big games" fire, but since then we've only lost twice in 2 1/2 seasons, beat OSU 3 times, made 3 CFP appearances and won a Natty!
  25. I'm pretty agnostic to the Wings so their championships really didn't effect me in any big way so the 04 Pistons would really be the last championship for me as well.
