  1. Bad opening series but Fox kinda makes up for with a booming punt to the Minnesota 10.
  2. Swift's problems were not so much the time he miss as he would only miss a few games a year which isn't that out of line for running backs in this day and age but more so just how dinged up he would get and how bad his performance would in turn suffer. Like some guys may have a minor injury they play through and it doesn't effect their performance all that much if at all, Swift would get a little injury his performance would crater. He was like 2 different players when he was healthy vs. playing banged up(more so than the regular player is like).
  3. You need to be able to shoot but also have the ability to be switchable on defense, atleast come playoff time. I think Duren has the potential to be the latter to some degree but will likely never amount to much on offense outside of the cleanup and lob threat. He does seem to be a pretty good passer as well for a big man so I will give him that too.
  4. Well they put up a good fight but Curry took over in the last minute, must have been pissed at that no call where they called it off of him.
  5. Bogey with a big 3 to give the pistons a 1 point lead!
  6. Ivey with a big 3 to cut it to 6 with just under 6 minutes remaining.
  7. Bogey passes on the three only to dish it to Kilian for a 3...and of course he missed.
  8. Ivey looking like he is trying to do too much, back to back bad passes for turnovers.
  9. I've been seeing a ton of Penix hype lately in terms of his NFL future and how he should be the clear number 3 QB off the board and top 10 pick, I'm not denying that he hasn't been great this year but I hope those people are factoring in his age and experience when doing so cause to me that is a big deal. The dude is almost 24 years old, has been starting for 6 years and for reference was in the same High School class as Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields.
  10. For a deeper cut I'd add Vanderbilt in the College World Series Finals a few years back to that as well.
  11. I like Michigan chances atleast about as much as you could reasonably ask for in a championship game, that's no disrespect to Washington cause they are obviously a great team but I don't feel that they are on the same level as most teams you would expect to face in the finals like those great Clemson, Bama, OSU or Georgia teams of the previous decade. Of course Washington fans may be saying the same thing about Michigan though. Anyways I think it will be important for Michigan to run the ball well and have long time consuming drives. Give that high powered Washington offense as few of possessions as possible while also keeping our defense as fresh as possible. I'd use the same blueprint we used to beat those CJ Stroud OSU led teams in 21 and 22.
  12. I know the knock on Hutch is that he hasn't actually completed the sack that often this year but I think in his defense it's hard to do that when you are the only one in the backfield, you basically have to immediately hit the QB from their blindside for that to happen. If other guys were there to help collapse the pocket where the QB couldn't go anywhere he'd probably have atleast another half dozen or so sacks this year.
  13. I still see people suggesting that the game was rigged or that Allen deliberately screwed the Lions and I just refuse to believe that. I think he just made a stupid mistake, if he really wanted to screw the Lions he could've called some questionable holding penalty or something during the drive. I mean on basically every play a lineman does something that could be called a hold it's just a matter of whether the refs call it or not so I'm sure there were play(s) at some point in the drive he could've called if he truly wanted to screw the Lions.
  14. I've said before that I not only feel that Glenn IS a great coach but would make a great head coach. Do I agree with his schematics and play calling? Not necessarily but I do think as an actual coach he has done a great job. Under Glenn's guidance a number of players have taken major steps forward as players along with players playing above their NFL expectations based off of their draft position and draft scouting report and to me that falls on the actual coaching and development you receive. The trend is to hire hot shot offensive minds but I think hiring somebody like Glenn and pairing him with a great offensive mind at offensive coordinator could end up being the ideal move if you are a franchise looking for a HC.
  15. Heard on the radio that Campbell said that they are indeed planning on playing all the starters and treating this like any other game. Also just saw on twitter that the Vikings are planning on going back to Mullins for the game. Fool me once....
  16. Michael Penix graduated High School the same year as Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. So crazy that he's STILL in college.
  17. Well were now guaranteed to have the first champion north of the Mason dixon line since OSU 10 years ago and the furthest north champion since our championship in 1997.
  18. I can almost guarantee that Finebaum is gonna bring up Georgia and how Michigan(and Washington/Texas) are lucky that they didn't face them. He will completely try to downplay Alabama and pretend like they didn't belong...same with all the other naysayers are doing on social media right now.
  19. They used to be on New Year's Eve, I believe this is the first year they changed it. Of course being a School Employee I always have these 2 weeks off anyway so I sometimes lose track of my days and forget that most people have to work the next day.
  20. JJ also finished with an elite 92 QBR. Yeah I would love for him not to miss a single throw and hit every receiver in the perfect spot but that just isn't realistic for a college QB against an elite defense, if they did that than they'd be NFL Pro Bowl level talent QB right at the moment.
  21. JJ missed some throws but I think some of this hate on him is a bit extreme, Bama has a really good defense loaded with 1st round talent, they have shut down great qbs before so you can't just play pitch and catch with them. Also JJ still did go 17/27 for like 250 3TDs and 0 picks. Also had some good runs as well. It's not like he was horrendous or something.
  22. If it were to be Washington then you'd guarantee that the Big 10 will have the reigning National Champion in their conference next season!
  23. Penix and those Washington receivers worry me so I'd probably prefer Texas but it's gonna be a tough game either way. Michigan offense will have to be better than tonight and I hope/expect they will be.
