  1. Well said and this pretty much sums it up. And yeah CBs are definitely at the top of their priority right now, they need to get atleast 2 upgrades in the offseason.
  2. Yeah I totally agree with the call but given the Lions struggles on 3rd and long it wasn't a slam dunk decision. If they don't take the penalty chances are the Rams are trying the FG to take the lead, so worst case scenario is you're down 2 with 4 minutes to go so you atleast have a chance to drive down the field and win the game. By taking the penalty you run the risk of them converting and then potentially killing all or most of the clock before kicking the go ahead FG leaving you with no chance to respond.
  3. If they get a competent QB and the coaching staff stays pretty much intact if/when Harbaugh leaves they should still be an elite team next year.
  4. Wish they could've given a game ball to that 90 year old fan that they showed in the stands who had season tickets for like 60 some years. That would've been awesome!
  5. Aside from this being the Lions first playoff win since 1991 this is the first playoff win by a Detroit sports team since April of 2016 when the Red Wings won a game against the Lightning, this is the first time a Detroit sports team advanced in the playoffs since 2013 when the Tigers beat the A's in the ALDS.
  6. I knew it was a bad decision at the time but I didn't realize just how bad it was. Yeah 14 yards is alot to gain but at that point field position wasn't that big of deal since 2 first downs ended the game anyway so your opponent was driving to score points.
  7. It's a cliche but it's true that this is a "week to week league" and anybody that makes the playoffs has a legit chance of making a deep run so despite our flaws I certainly think we can beat anybody that is left. I too would rather face Tampa, Philly has looked like crap of late but they still have a ton of talent and you never know when that talent is going to get back on track.
  8. 1997 was pretty damn good with Michigan winning the Natty, Barry running for 2K, the Lions winning the win or go home game in week 17 but I think this playoff win puts this season over that.
  9. BTW we get the Sunday 3pm game on NBC next weekend. Considering are success on prime time I was kinda hoping for another one.
  10. The crowd forced that 1st timeout in the 2nd half and possibly the 2nd as well, pointing that out cause there are some that say that the home crowd really doesn't make that much of a difference but those two "wasted" timeouts can attest that they certainly can.
  11. Was likely a minimum of a 3 pt swing could potentially be as much as 14 though. Just a critical missed call.
  12. All year it seems like we were able to get pressure on QBs but they were always so mobile so they'd get out of trouble, now we finally get a non mobile qb and we can't muster any pressure.
  13. Don't know how the rest of the game plays out but boy that failed 3rd and long stop by us could end up being a turning point. Had a chance to really take control with a stop and score there.
  14. Sutton is such a liability right now but I guess we don't have any better options.
  15. This will make 29 straight years that the Cowboys didn't make it past the divisional round, compared to us that isn't that big of deal but when you pride yourself on being one of the elite franchises like the Cowboys do that is pretty sad.
  16. I biggest fear with the Packers is coming to fruition and that is that Love looks the part of a Pro Bowl QB. If this isn't a half year wonder and he is indeed legit than the Packers are going to be a problem not just in these playoffs but going forward.
  17. I remember back in day on the old board the former poster Mickey was proclaiming every year that "this is the year father time catches up with Lebron", here we are almost 10 years after he started that and it still hasn't caught up to him yet atleast to any real extent.
  18. Don't want to think about losing but if the Lions were to lose I'd be pulling for SF, not that I like them really but along with the Bucs I probably dislike them least out of the teams that will be left in the NFC. I like Stafford but hate McVay and just don't like LA "fans" don't think they deserve to get another Super Bowl. The Cowboys and Packers hate is self explanatory and while I don't hate them I strongly dislike the Eagles as well.
  19. Only way I'm drafting Bronny is if I knew his Dad would come with him. edit: See that Del beat me to that point.
  20. Also I soured on Stafford when he said something of the effect of "This is the first big game I played in my career" when talking about the Rams playoffs a couple years ago. As if he didn't play in 3 playoff games for the Lions and another 3 or 4 that were for division championships...he of course lost them all though.
