Also while none of those games outside of Iowa were true blowouts I think Michigan controlled virtually all of them from start to finish with the exception of falling behind to Bama. And even that game most would agree that UM was clearly outclassing them and really just some ST gaffes stopped it from being a more convincing victory.

Im already looking forward to next season, yeah between losing Harbaugh, JJ, Corum and others we have alot to replace but I think the team still could be really good so long as we keep the rest of the coaching staff. The defense was the key to the team and we're returning a bunch of key guys so that should still be elite, if we can find even a game manager type QB we should be able to muster up enough points to win. Also Im most looking forward to the schedule, this season was awesome but it felt like basically preseason until November which was pretty boring in eyes. From a fans viewing experience It's going to be nice playing big games throughout the season even if we likely are to lose some.

Its amazing how things changed right when you made that thread. We just come off the tough loss to MSU which further added fuel to the "Harbaugh can't win big games" fire, but since then we've only lost twice in 2 1/2 seasons, beat OSU 3 times, made 3 CFP appearances and won a Natty!

I remember in October of 2021 when we got off to like a 5 or 6-0 start telling friends that "I'll be happy with just getting to Indianapolis and actually playing in the Big 10 Championship for the 1st time" we of course did end up doing that and made the playoffs, then made the playoffs again and now National Champions. So in the span of a little over 24 months the team has gone from people like me just being happy to get to Indianapolis to 3 straight playoff appearances and a National Championship. Unbelievable!

I know we waited till after their playoff run was done to hire Patricia but not sure if that was done out of courtesy since Quinn loved the Pats or if that is the standard thing in th NFL? I would just hate to lose one or both our coordinators before our season is done.

Unless Bryce Young turns into a Pro Bowl level QB its hard to see that franchise going anywhere anytime soon.

Don't want to hi jack this into a Michigan thread but I just want to say that one thing I have noticed about the team in the past few years is how many players seem to get better with their time there. Like guys may be coming in as 3 or borderline 4 star recruits but ending up in the NFL. In the past 5 years I believe only 3 teams have had more NFL draft picks than Michigan and they certainly haven't gotten the 3rd or 4th best talent out of HS. They've elevated the players and turned fringe HS prospects into NFL players. To me that has been the most impressive thing about them the past several years.

I did notice that on the postgame handshake yesterday that it appeared that Campbell let O Connell know why they were feeding Reynolds at the end cause it appeared to me like OConnell said something like "Dont worry about it not a big deal" which made me think Dan was apologizing about something and that's the only thing I could think of.

Puka and AJ Brown also had Pro Bowl worthy years so somebody was gonna get left out. Sucks for St. Brown but let's face it who really cares about the Pro Bowl anyway unless you have a contract incentive tied to it?
