  1. If it ends up being what it is now I wouldn't be completely shocked to see the Rams upset the Cowboys in round 1 which would mean we could potentially get those 2 home playoff games after all and a date with either the NFC South Champ or the struggling Eagles.
  2. Sounds like atleast 1 game which does suck but really I don't see a guy like LaPorta being one of the guys Campbell or most coaches for that matter would've sat even if he did sit guys this week. Goff, Montgomery/Gibbs, St. Brown and maybe some O lineman I could see but I don't think the rookie TE would have been one of them so even though people are going to question his strategy I think ultimately it really wouldn't have made a difference in regards to LaPorta. imo
  3. I wouldn't love the idea of playing Hurts just cause of our history against QBs with that skillset but that would be about the only thing that would scare me about them at this point.
  4. I see that the son of former Lions RB Ron Rivers is starting at RB for the Rams today. I looked at the box score and saw Ronnie Rivers and had to look up to see if that was indeed his son and sure enough it was. Hadn't heard or thought about the name Ron Rivers in like 2 decades.
  5. Just reading between the lines I do think it's safe to say that he will be missing next week, of course with it being the playoffs if there is any chance he can tough it out and play he will but even so don't know how effective he would be anyway in that case.
  6. I hadn't watched a ton of the Jags nor followed them that closely but in regards to Lawrence from what I can remember he was starting to play pretty well around the middle of the season before getting injured. I wonder if there are still some lingering effects which would explain his bad play down the stretch? Either way he hasn't come close to living up to his hype, he's been pretty solid for the most part the past 2 seasons but nowhere near the franchise altering superstar that people pegged him to be pre draft.
  7. I mean I'm not happy with the LaPorta injury but it doesn't change our playoff outlook that much imo. Over the course of the season having a TE like that can make a difference but they don't change the outcome of any one game all that much. It's not like losing a key offensive lineman which leads to your QB getting killed, an elite pass rusher or most of all your QB.
  8. What are they doing? Legit question I wonder if Reynolds has some sorta contract incentive that they are trying to get for him? Not that I agree with doing this but why else are they just feeding him and not taking a knee?
  9. Sutton gets the interception but you can thank Iffy for that one.
  10. Looking at the playoff standings and you know the NFL is salivating at that potential Cowboys/Packers matchup. Will probably do everything they can to make sure it happens.
  11. Sutton's been toast since that injury a few weeks ago. I credit the toughness to play but he is such a liability right now....unfortunately don't really have any better options.
  12. It was a touchback but Fox is such a beast, too bad he can't kick field goals.
  13. Yeah definitely time to get the starters out especially on offense, we're up 14 on a team who looks terrible on offense, you very likely aren't going to need anymore points to win this.
  14. If the LaPorta injury is the difference between us having "no chance" next week or being Super Bowl contenders if he wasn't hurt then he is the most valuable non QB in the history of football.
  15. I'd sit your top guys now, atleast for the time being. You can always bring them back in if Minnesota comes back but I'd keep them on the bench till Minny comes back to tie it.
  16. I wouldn't have played Goff but you can't sit everybody, look at San Fran, they have the 1 seed locked up and while they are sitting some stars they are still playing a bunch of key players. Also some teams started shying away from resting their starters about a decade ago when it appeared that they would come out flat in that first playoff game due to the time off. When you're used to playing just about every week for 4 months 2 weeks off can lead to a bit of rust. Maybe not nothing crazy but if it takes you a drive or two to get back into the groove of things that is a big deal when the margins are so small in the playoffs.
  17. 2 TDs and a sack from the rookie class thus far today.
  18. Bad opening series but Fox kinda makes up for with a booming punt to the Minnesota 10.
  19. Swift's problems were not so much the time he miss as he would only miss a few games a year which isn't that out of line for running backs in this day and age but more so just how dinged up he would get and how bad his performance would in turn suffer. Like some guys may have a minor injury they play through and it doesn't effect their performance all that much if at all, Swift would get a little injury his performance would crater. He was like 2 different players when he was healthy vs. playing banged up(more so than the regular player is like).
  20. You need to be able to shoot but also have the ability to be switchable on defense, atleast come playoff time. I think Duren has the potential to be the latter to some degree but will likely never amount to much on offense outside of the cleanup and lob threat. He does seem to be a pretty good passer as well for a big man so I will give him that too.
  21. Well they put up a good fight but Curry took over in the last minute, must have been pissed at that no call where they called it off of him.
  22. Bogey with a big 3 to give the pistons a 1 point lead!
