  1. Kinda interesting looking at the 4 QBs left in the NFC. You of course have Goff who was basically cast aside and kicked to the curb by his former team, same with Mayfield, then you have Love who very well may still be riding the bench if Rodgers didn't decide he wanted to leave and then you have the literal last pick in the NFL draft.
  2. I think the Bucs are solid and are certainly capable of beating the Lions but in terms of what you would normally expect from a Divisional round opponent it really doesn't get a whole lot easier than them.
  3. I'm sure there is another example but off the top of my head I'm having a hard time coming up with a bigger collapse than the Eagles have had this year. Started 10-1 and looked the part of the best team in the league and then lose 6 out of their last 7 including many blowout losses.
  4. People bring up passing on Carter but with the way Calijah Kancey has looked of late I think the real mistake was taking Campbell over him.
  5. Damn seems like there have been alot of muffed punts lately in the NFL and CFB, Eagles were fortunate enough to recover that one.
  6. Well said and this pretty much sums it up. And yeah CBs are definitely at the top of their priority right now, they need to get atleast 2 upgrades in the offseason.
  7. Yeah I totally agree with the call but given the Lions struggles on 3rd and long it wasn't a slam dunk decision. If they don't take the penalty chances are the Rams are trying the FG to take the lead, so worst case scenario is you're down 2 with 4 minutes to go so you atleast have a chance to drive down the field and win the game. By taking the penalty you run the risk of them converting and then potentially killing all or most of the clock before kicking the go ahead FG leaving you with no chance to respond.
  8. If they get a competent QB and the coaching staff stays pretty much intact if/when Harbaugh leaves they should still be an elite team next year.
  9. Wish they could've given a game ball to that 90 year old fan that they showed in the stands who had season tickets for like 60 some years. That would've been awesome!
  10. Aside from this being the Lions first playoff win since 1991 this is the first playoff win by a Detroit sports team since April of 2016 when the Red Wings won a game against the Lightning, this is the first time a Detroit sports team advanced in the playoffs since 2013 when the Tigers beat the A's in the ALDS.
  11. I knew it was a bad decision at the time but I didn't realize just how bad it was. Yeah 14 yards is alot to gain but at that point field position wasn't that big of deal since 2 first downs ended the game anyway so your opponent was driving to score points.
  12. It's a cliche but it's true that this is a "week to week league" and anybody that makes the playoffs has a legit chance of making a deep run so despite our flaws I certainly think we can beat anybody that is left. I too would rather face Tampa, Philly has looked like crap of late but they still have a ton of talent and you never know when that talent is going to get back on track.
  13. 1997 was pretty damn good with Michigan winning the Natty, Barry running for 2K, the Lions winning the win or go home game in week 17 but I think this playoff win puts this season over that.
  14. BTW we get the Sunday 3pm game on NBC next weekend. Considering are success on prime time I was kinda hoping for another one.
  15. The crowd forced that 1st timeout in the 2nd half and possibly the 2nd as well, pointing that out cause there are some that say that the home crowd really doesn't make that much of a difference but those two "wasted" timeouts can attest that they certainly can.
  16. Was likely a minimum of a 3 pt swing could potentially be as much as 14 though. Just a critical missed call.
  17. All year it seems like we were able to get pressure on QBs but they were always so mobile so they'd get out of trouble, now we finally get a non mobile qb and we can't muster any pressure.
  18. Don't know how the rest of the game plays out but boy that failed 3rd and long stop by us could end up being a turning point. Had a chance to really take control with a stop and score there.
  19. Sutton is such a liability right now but I guess we don't have any better options.
  20. This will make 29 straight years that the Cowboys didn't make it past the divisional round, compared to us that isn't that big of deal but when you pride yourself on being one of the elite franchises like the Cowboys do that is pretty sad.
