  1. I decided to do a Google Street view tour of East Garfield Park and even the little orange Google guy got shot and robbed.
  2. You seemed pretty convinced that the media created a false narrative that the crime was out of control. I simply wanted to know if it isn't now, than when is it? At what point can the media say crime is out of control? When you personally feel threatened? I understand you really don't want to answer it and will go in circles so I'll let you have at it. It seems like you have now begrudgingly accepted Chicago's murders are out of control. I also provided you the exact calculation, it wasn't pulled out of my ear. You seem to be fine that hundreds of people are being killed in Chicago when comparable cities in the US aren't having such a problem. As long as you don't feel endangered though.
  3. A number. I provided a number where I would agree it would be in control but I guess you will deflect and talk in circles.
  4. So looking at some of those numbers from that website, I decided to dig into the worst neighborhoods. Garfield Park had the highest total for 2021. I couldn't get an exact population since there seems to be an east and west so I went to Englewood which was second. Per wikipedia, the population is 24,000. That averages to about 250 murders per 100k. Illinois is averaging 257 COVID deaths per 100k. It seems if one is out of control than the other should be. Maybe crime isn't out of control in Chicago as a whole, which I disagree, but it certainly seems to be out of control in many neighborhoods.
  5. So heyjackass.com is a real website. I thought Buddha was just being a dick.
  6. Yawn, still won't answer and just deflect.
  7. Was Black Lives Matter around for the 17 black people killed?
  8. All I wanted was for you to tell me what out of control is. Instead, you turned it around on me and pinned me down to give you a number which I provided and now you're doing some attack on me.
  9. The Lions are estimated to have around $35 million in cap space. The Vikings and Packers are both going to be way over. The Bears project to have around $40 million. This division is going to be wide open soon. The Vikings and Packers are looking at rebuilds sooner than later and the Bears have one of the oldest rosters in the league. If Holmes does this right, the Lions could be perennial contenders.
  10. Wil Harris is under contract next year and I'm not ready to give him a new contract yet. Charles Harris I would bring back but I'm not going to break the bank.
  11. I'm assuming those percentages are up from 2020 which was already an elevated year.
  12. Since it doesn't affect Chas, it's not out of control. Hundreds of people are needlessly getting killed in Chicago so it has to be out of control somewhere? I haven't caught COVID so that means it's not out of control. There is always more passion and outrage at the couple police involved shooting but not the 800+ murders. Police involved shooting don't affect my day to day so they aren't out of control.
  13. A lot of words and no answer. Living up to windy city reputation.
  14. The well meaning whites are the best. It's like they want to overcorrect and don't actually listen. It's probably why Eric Adams won in New York and defund the police bill was soundly defeated in Minneapolis.
  15. Teams will wait if it's the coordinator they want. The Lions waited for Patricia and they would have waited however long it would have been for Campbell. I think teams should look at coordinators from losing teams. I think Aaron Glenn is as good as any coordinator getting interviewed. Only hiring from winning teams is how you end up with Patricia.
  16. New York and Los Angeles combined have 882 murders. Chicago has 836. New York and Los Angeles have a combined 12 million people to Chicago's 2.7 million. Hundreds of people are needlessly being killed in Chicago and the ire of the people is usually directed at the few police involved shootings.
  17. No I said 175 is within control. 485 is not within control for Chicago. I'm not sure I can state it any more clearer. Now you answer instead of deflecting.
  18. New York is roughly 2.96 times larger than Chicago so New York's 485 murders divided by 2.96 would be 163. I'll round up a little and say 175. Apparently Chicago has no desire to be Toronto even on it's worst day. Now your turn.
  19. Toronto, nearly identical in size, had 84 murders last year which was one of their highest totals ever. Chicago had 836 or 10 times more than Toronto in one of Toronto's worst years. Both Canada and the US fancy themselves as developed first world countries and Toronto is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. Even New York, which is almost 3 times larger than Chicago, had 485 murders. Hopefully that answers your question and maybe you will answer then what is out of control? If Chicago becomes Juarez?
  20. Chicago is averaging over two murders a day. If that is not out of control, than what is?
  21. I don't plan that far ahead.
  22. I'm fine with 6 teams and no bye. The matchups in the NFC would be good. Green Bay vs San Francisco. San Francisco has a good chance of winning that game. You would have Tampa vs Arizona. Bruce Arians vs his former team. Young vs old in the QB matchup. Then you would have Dallas and Los Angeles. Can Stafford avenge his playoff loss at Dallas? Those games would be better than what we have seen.
  23. I don't like this new playoff format. I don't think we needed a 7th team.
