    Sandy Hook was the definitive moment that I knew the micro penis Republicans weren't going to budge. A dozen or so elementary kids get killed and they would rather come up with conspiracy theories that it was a hoax.

    If gun free zones are the reason people are getting killed by guns, why does Texas have roughly 1,000 more murders than the entire country of Canada?

    Everyone wants to compare gun homicides to car deaths so lets do. Everyone who owns a gun needs to be licensed that needs to be renewed every 4 years. The gun needs to be titled and registered with the state and the registration renewed annually. You also need to carry a minimum insurance coverage. Certain guns won't be legal just as certain cars aren't street legal.

    Every developed country in the world that has gun control has significantly fewer homicides than the US. The states with looser gun control laws have more homicides than the states that do. It isn't because of gun free zones.

    I mean, it's not any more anecdotal that this empirical evidence. It's the largest school district in the state and has employed metal detectors district wide for decades and lacks the mass shootings that other schools have had despite being one of the highest crime rate cities in the US. It's probably one of the reason why bank robberies are relatively rare in Detroit as well.

    I grew up in Detroit and all the schools near me had metal detectors and police on site and school shootings never happened. Sure going to and from school it happened but not in the building or premises like it is happening now.

    Imagine if the teachers were armed and a kid starts shooting in a busy hallway and all the teachers bust out of their classrooms firing. I can't see anything going wrong there.

    Most Detroit public schools have that and you rarely hear about this happening in Detroit. There's also a reason bank robberies almost never happen in Detroit.

    The Palace is a different situation. That made a lot of sense. LCA was getting built no matter what. They didn't build LCA to replace The Palace. The Pistons had the opportunity to move into a brand new building and Oakland County can make better use of that land. It was a win-win. This stadium in Texas is fixing what should have been done 25 years ago.

    I was actually thinking trading up from the Rams pick into the teens to draft someone like Corral instead of trading down. That's provided it's in the low 20's.

    Or it could be like when they drafted Suh over McCoy and both were pretty good but Suh may have been a little better.

    SF and Minnesota are on their heels in the playoff chase. Loses to both could knock them out of the playoffs all together. The Rams would lose the tiebreaker with each team.

    I watched these last 3 Rams game and I can't remember a worse 3 game stretch outside of his rookie season. The Rams certainly don't have a playoff spot locked up yet. This could get ugly. They won 10 games and a playoff game with Goff last year. If they are one and done, is McVay on the hot seat?
