  1. He may be on to something. What if we call the kids who were killed at Oxford aborted children? Instead of saying they were killed, say they were aborted. Maybe that will change the narrative.
  2. This is also not the party of Reagan anymore.
  3. I disagree. I think the Republicans would have used it to encourage more gun ownership. They could use that as an excuse to need more guns to defend themselves.
  4. Four middle class white kids were just killed in Oxford and it isn't going to change anything, just like a dozen or so middle class white kids in Colorado and Connecticut.
  5. At least Republicans want to force more single women to have babies.
  6. Picking 2nd or 3rd may be preferable as it may take the decision out of Holmes hands on whether to draft Hutchinson or Thibodeaux.
  7. Aren't there drugs in Canada? Why does Chicago have about 10 times as many murders as Toronto?
  8. It provides at least some sort of analysis to clock management than just fans ranting that Campbell is horrible at clock management.
  9. I thought the black middle class neighborhood was on the west side near Russell Woods and Woodbridge? There was also Conant Gardens but I find it hard to believe a one mile stretch of freeway set back the entire race of the 4th largest city in the country at the time for decades to come.
  10. I wouldn't return my business to a place where it was looted and burned down.
  11. Detroit had a black mayor by 1974 when it was still well over 1 million people and still a viable city. I'm not sure what the racial makeup of the council was. We go back to the city income tax when many cities have a city income tax. In fact, over 20 cities alone in Michigan have an income tax. Detroit is pretty low tax, relatively speaking, among most major cities. The black middle class you mentioned even left for whiter pastures when they started moving to Southfield and Oak Park.
  12. I've posted it before. It's as of week 9.
  13. Clock management is like a buzzword. The double timeout thing was bad, but by and large the clock management has been good. There has even been a study done this year, prior to the double timeout, that showed Campbell was one of the best at managing timeouts.
  14. Despite the high homicide totals in Chicago, Illinois only ranks 34th in murder rate. Indiana averages about 4 more murders per 100k than Illinois.
  15. McVay gives me some Patricia vibes. If the Rams don't win a playoff game, does he throw Stafford under the bus? Those two have high expectations and I have to imagine McVay's seat will heat up if they don't win a playoff game.
  16. If Campbell doesn't publicly shame Goff, that means the Lions love Goff and they will never win and same old Lions.
  17. Had a conference call with the CEO today. A conference call is basically a Webex meeting where the CEO talks and everyone is muted and we type questions in the chat. There was discussion on Oxford since the company is located close to Oxford and many employees live there. CEO says I don't know what needs to be done with this gun violence in the US. I then suggested the company could quit donating to politicians who refuse to address guns and asked why the company continues to support the politicians who have flooded our streets with guns and he ignored my question.
  18. We are at the point in the program where nothing Campbell does will matter. All wins from here on out are because of what the other team did to lose. I expected it to take longer than 12 games to reach this point.
  19. I'm not sure I want to live in the universe where a coach makes a decision many other coaches makes, it works, the team wins, and yet it's still the wrong decision and no one can give a reasoned answer why.
  20. Why do you come here and complain if the Lions make you so miserable? Legit question.
  21. This is a deranged answer.
  22. I would have tapped you on the shoulder before you missed the ramp.
  23. You screwed up. You didn't make a decision. This isn't the same. You haven't provided a reasoned argument why calling the timeout was a bad decision.
