I currently put away 21% of my take home. 6%, which is matched by the employer, goes to a 401k and the other 15% in just a savings account. I did invest in mutual funds and they were doing well but this past week or so have lost a lot. I'm not sure if I should sell or just ride it out. This is the part of investing I hate.
I can't imagine the sheriff didn't know charges were coming. The prosecutor said a decision would be made Friday. He just lost track of the parents and is trying to deflect blame.
Is the border to Canada open? I would imagine they are out of Michigan by now. They're probably heading for a red state that will help in preventing them from being extradited.
Is there any culpability for the gun shop? Apparently the kid went with the father to buy the gun. Did the gun shop owner not know the gun was being purchased for the kid?
Let me tell you, ever since I have gotten the vaccine I have been bombarded with ads to purchase a new Surface, upgrade to Windows 11, purchase an Office 365 subscription, and make Edge my default browser.
The governor in Pennsylvania vetoed a bill that would have allowed open carry anywhere in the state without permit or background check similar to Texas. This Republican legislature also passed restrictive election bills making it harder to vote. Republicans are literally making it easier to own and carry a gun than vote. I wonder if in Canada it is easier to vote or own a gun? What type of country, that calls itself a democracy, would make access to guns easier than voting?
Johnson, Stafford and Suh, the last Lions players to be drafted 1 or 2 all eventually signed contracts that made them the highest paid players ever at the time at their respective positions. Poor them for having been drafted by the Lions.
