  1. In the Navarro case- Don’t do the crime, if you can’t do the time. In this particular Trump case- Don’t do the crime (x), if you can’t pay the fine. So much whiny victimhood, so little focus on the behavior that lead to the judgements. Or, FOAFO.
  2. Patrick Roy: The beatings will continue until morale improves.
  3. I’m pretty sure I have shopped at that Vons store in the video and I don’t remember seeing that woman…so it can’t be true. (I am joking to make the point that anecdotal evidence is crappy- but I have gone there).
  4. Yes, I think there is a readymade counter to any southern border issue: the Trumpublican party had bipartisan legislation it crafted-until Trump said no. Which ties in with a bigger fail-the party as now constituted does not know how to govern. Or even cares to when given the chance. All they know or care to do is stoke fear and ignore the rule of law.
  5. @smr-nj come on, let’s just call a Spade a Spade 😎
  6. I don’t know who came up with the term “tankies”, but it’s stupid. This and the Gaza thread have devolved into nuance-free polarization. And lots of exaggerated statements. Occasionally there will be a post that tries to show a balanced approach (Hamas is unquestionably horrible, but Bibi and his policies are also bad, just not as much, but can less Gazan kids starve or die, please). Casting everyone as in two camps, calling people names serves no good purpose. IMO
  7. And the whole innocence/guilt thing.
  8. He didn’t do it! okay, he did it, but you can’t indict him! okay you can indict him, but you need to answer all these delaying tactics okay, we’re down to saying the timing and degree of friendship on the prosecution team matters. —— GUILTY
  9. For all the conservatives and the trumpublicans screaming about open borders and broken systems I suggest they put their money where their month is and raise taxes to hire more people to improve the process.
  10. 🤔 what are the 19-74 year olds not receiving protection from?
  11. Eric, could you provide specifics to your claim that Dems loved tariffs/then hated them/Biden kept them in place. And not just fringe Dems, or opinion pieces. For the record the Biden administration did retain some tariffs, but dropped others. Tariffs may effect some voters deciding who to vote for, but choosing Trump to fix international economics indicates a limited grasp of reality.
  12. But did they fire Dom, the security goon? Didn’t the Eagles season start to crater during the SF game when he poked Greenlaw and got him kicked out? F that guy.
  13. Using Hill as an example for WRs is like using Brady for QBs. They are the definition of outliers.
  14. It would be a real shame if the Rams team bus broke down on the way from their hotel and they had to walk miles through icy conditions. Yeah, a real shame. 😎
  15. @pfife does that new one have a hollow neck, like a Weissenborn?
  16. It is Kimmel’s job description to tell jokes and he does that on a wide range of topics. Congressperson or NFL player? Not in there job description. Free speech, yada yada…false equivalence is all bs. Bottom line: if someone gave you a hard time about your covid opinions would you consider that as much an attack as them accusing you of pedo rape?
  17. Which carries the Trumpublican lawless stance: he crimed but we don’t think the rule of law applies to him.
  18. From that first list I would add Ibanez replacing Maton. The pitching will sort itself out, as mentioned, and Olson would be the likely replacement for any injury (or for better performance).
  19. One of the witches, and one of Trump’s campaign managers.
  20. One of the reasons for “not finding enough” was AG Barr limiting and distorting what was found. It was still a witch hunt that actually found witches.
  21. I think the three posts above are all good. They cover different takes on Biden, Trump and the population that are accurate IMO. Sorting out which of the three holds come election time, too soon to know yet. One quibble I have with Lee’s take: I think a significant number of voters are more fearful of Republicans now than in 2016, and Trump and his grip on the party won’t be able to overcome that due to their ratcheting up authoritarian and confrontational stands. That and the multiple legal jeopardy.
