Absolute Ridiculousness. Right now at age 19, Vic is the best shooter over 7’2 in the history of basketball and he’s only going to get better. As for the other Euro pros, how many averaged 32 and 10 with 3 blocks. He’s dominating grown men now and he’s just scratching the surface of his game.

There is no such thing as a cant miss prospect. He’s the closest that we’ve seen since Lebron.
-
His basketball talent and professional experience combined with his size and athleticism. We’ve probably never seen another player with this combination and certainly not one as advanced at age 17.
-
I’m not sure where you are going. Is this going to be a Chet comparison?
-
I don’t understand where you are going. He has both of these things. You can’t just randomly remove them from his game.

Scoot is a legit stud too. I can definitely get the content to get him at #2 part but no way prefer him over Vic.
-
That’s crazy talk. This kid looks as can’t miss as there ever was. Injury looks to be the only thing that can derail him.
-
Great piece on Vic. Praying for another miracle even through this franchise doesn’t deserve it. We’ve seen it before with Cleveland and Minnesota winning it twice in short order.

You try dragging Walton and Lanier up the court for 48 minutes!

The only thing I know about Glen Kuiper is that I had way too many of his dad’s baseball cards as a kid. He seemed to pop up in every pack back in his Indians days. As for this debacle, I can sort of see how the slip happened. He was saying the world negro and then wanted to transition into Arthur from Arthur Bryant’s BBQ and he got caught up and it merged together into what sounded like the n word. I can see how this could happen even to someone that never says the word.

It wouldn’t have been rape since fortunately or unfortunately all women want to be star****ers.

Great win. Fun last inning. -
Don’t discount the possibility that the Bureau of Labor Statistics could also be a bad faith actor. In the February jobs report, they made a change to their method for accounting for seasonally adjusted jobs. That report unexpectedly soared past market expectations much like these did. Hidden in today’s report was they revised their February and March reports lower by 149,000 total jobs. It’s hard to know who to trust these days when everyone has an agenda.

This is code for he drank too much.

He’s old and white so he’s not even on the Pistons radar.

Absolutely worth it. I think the ideal plan should be to get 4 years and maybe even the option out of Gibbs and then move on from him and draft his replacement in the 1st or 2nd round.
-
Regarding RB, I think it’s mainly a combo of shelf life along with the desire for a committee of situational specialists for things like 3rd down or short yardage. LB probably has more to do with the increase in nickel and dime sets to combat the increased athleticism of the modern TE and pass catching RB. It has brought more emphasis of keeping a box safety or nickel on the field for pass coverage and limited that 3 down LB in many cases.

My take is the talent on this roster has evolved to the point that most of those 5th -7th round guys weren’t going to make the team. If they had 4 or 5 picks there, maybe only 1 of them would make the final roster. After already picking 5 guys in the first 3 rounds, I had no issue packaging 3 picks to move up to get a guy they really like that will definitely make the roster. I think it was actually another brilliant chess move from Holmes to make that seemingly unbalanced trade.

I have a hazy memory of seeing Squeeze at the State probably back in 88 or 89.

Did you happen to catch the early days of Bare Naked Ladies? I played the heck out of Gordon back in the day.

This is pretty much my thought. The decision will depend mainly on Goff. It’s his job to take.
-
I’m not sure the market for Goff is there outside Detroit. He has value here but do other teams see him as more of a game manager. Valenti just compared it to the Daniel Jones situation at NYG. They were probably the only team that would’ve given him a $45M contract but it worked out best for both sides to do that now. I do think that if Goff has another great season , he will be valued as top echelon QB across the league. He would most likely be getting a huge extension from the Lions in that case. As of now, Hooker is a nothing more than a 3rd round insurance plan. However, once he gets healthy and starts slinging it around at practice and making ooh and ahh throws on a regular basis that could change the thinking and the cloud the Lions future decision.

The thing I find the most confusing about Canadian culture is their near universal love for The Tragically Hip.

Maybe it sounded like a good idea after a few puffs but think this one over some more. You’re not a Leafs fan. Don’t do it.
