  1. Because nothing is more important than wins, Alabama is playing Miller tonight at South Carolina. As expected, the fans are brutal.
  2. Agree but from a PR standpoint, I’m not sure a global organization like the NBA can let a small town Alabama police department be the sole determiner on the morality of the situation and if it makes sense for the NBA for Miller to be in the league right now. We’ve see recent situations in baseball and hockey where players were not allowed to play for past moral outrages even if the law said it was ok.
  3. it’s probably best that he doesn’t get indicted. He’s not ever going to jail and will just use it to grift more money through his “legal defense fund”. He actually may welcome an indictment to pad his pockets even more.
  4. He’s undraftable at this point. Maybe things become clearer and he’s exonerated but the story seems to be moving in the opposite direction. At this point, it sure looks like he was an accomplice to a Murder and Alabama, Nate Oats, and Tuscaloosa PD covered it up to keep their dream season alive.
  5. Watch Holmes go out and sign Gerald Everett and blow up everyone’s theories on how he views TE’s.
  6. I don’t think they will make the playoffs. Probably will be out of any real shot even before April starts. There are just too many other experienced teams in the mix. This run has been huge to put them back on the development track they wanted for the season. They have definitely taken a step forward in the Yzerplan. A great goal for the rest of the way would be to finish above Ottawa and Buffalo
  7. PFF has an article suggesting the Lions trade 18 and a 4th next year to Cincinnati for Tee Higgins. Interesting to ponder. He’d also require a pretty nice extension. 18 is the same pick Philly traded last year for AJ Brown. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-trades-2023-nfl-offseason-free-agency-draft
  8. Or Javaris Crittenton
  9. Another one of those dumb automatic rules. It looked major worthy and any crosscheck that is a major is an automatic game misconduct.
  10. Primitiv - Official Marijuana or the Detroit Lions
  11. Regardless of anyone’s feelings on CJ and his attitude since his departure, this is a good thing for the organization going forward with regard to player relations.
  12. I blame so much of the current state of America on one man. Dale Earnhardt Jr. This country hasn’t been the same since he retired from NASCAR in 2017. These folks needed something else to care way too much about once he quit racing. They found Trump, Tucker, and hating on some libs and the rest is history. Instead of carburetors and bump drafting, they now presume to be experts on debt ceilings and NATO bylaws. It’s completely exhausting. So much of this could’ve been avoided if Junior was still out there making left turns in his Chevy every Sunday. Damn you Dale Jr. and your shitty original Budweiser sponsor too.
  13. I’m pretty sure these are all contingent on him getting the green light on that $800M taxpayer handout to build District Detroit for real this time. I figure he’ll build one building and pocket the rest to pay for stuff exactly like a new team plane and clubhouse rehab. No way he’s paying for this by himself.
  14. I don’t believe this is correct. He was born into considerable wealth but I don’t think the family was anywhere near to levels to be among the wealthiest in South Africa. I do believe that he fled to avoid military service. That sounds like him. BTW, I’m not a fan. He’s a loonybins egomaniac and probably the closest thing we’ve seen to a real life Bond villain. I do give him credit for making his own money (or at least paper valuation of his stock).
  15. This is true that he was fired by Peter Thiel as CEO. He was still one of the founders of the company and made his first massive windfall of his own money when the company was sold.
  16. I will give him credit that he made his own wealth. He was one of the founders or PayPal and cashed in when it sold to eBay for $1.5B in 2002. He then parlayed that into investing many other Silicon Valley startups as well founding SpaceX and Tesla.
  17. Like the concept of an improved Wet tire. I’ll wait with some skepticism to see if Pirelli can actually construct it and have it work as intended.
  18. He worked out like a mad man in his 20’s. Unfortunately, it was all 12oz curls.
  19. The story is going to be Lions LB Tremaine Edmunds covering Travis Kelce.
  20. ASB is the new Hasselhoff
  21. Easily my least favorite driver. The nice part is I don’t have to hate on him. He just sort of does that all on his own.
  22. I made the mistake of watching part of that catastrophe last night. I’m damaged to the point of not knowing if I can watch another NBA game for a while.
