  1. This is correct. Lynn will be the scapegoat if one is needed
  2. This is the first thing you’ve said that I agree with wholeheartedly.
  3. I believe they execute poorly in short yardage because the coaching staff keeps trying to outsmart the other team by rushing to the line to try and catch them off guard and instead hurt their own execution. It’s dumb. If he wants to go on 4th down, slow it down and get them on the same page and call a great play. How many more times are they going to continue this idiotic trend of going no huddle, up tempo on game changing plays and failing.
  4. This we can agree. No need to worry about dead cap for next year and use it to clear the dead weight that won’t be part of 2023 and beyond.
  5. Just watched the end of the half again and it’s a combination of all the issues I had with Campbell. Despite a few dumb penalties, they had a nice drive going. Sitting 2nd and 5 from the Eagles 26 with 2 TO’s. Goff checks down like always to Swift and he fails to get out of bounds a yard short of the marker with 34 seconds left. Rather than call a TO on 3rd down and set a play to get the 1st and a plan a few end zone shots, he rushes to the line with the clock running and trying to catch them off guard and for the umpteenth time this season the Lions don’t execute while rushing to the line for a crucial play. Goff hands to Swift who doesn’t get the first down. Instead of sitting 3rd and 1 on the 21 with 34 seconds they are 4th and inches on the 20 with 13 seconds. I would’ve kicked the FG here but the mistake was already made. If he wanted to go for a TD they needed to call TO on 3rd down and preserve time and downs.
  6. What does it really matter how much dead cap they have next year? It’s not like they are going to get out and spend on big FA additions next year. They need to make sure they are in a good cap position for 2023.
  7. I am sure they have a guy. I am not so sure that Campbell uses him as he should. I think he puts the info into whatever else is in his mind and then goes by his gut. I am also not concerned about conservative vs aggressive. I want him to make the right choices depending on the situation. Yes, he is starting to remind me of Caldwell on game day and that’s not good. If Jim was better between the lines when it counted then maybe he’s still the coach today. That was his big weakness.
  8. I don’t recall any games where they went 60 minutes punch for punch with anyone. They have played well at times but haven’t come close to putting together a full game. My personal expectations of this team were very low and have only gotten worse. The talent was never there and this was always going to a rebuild. As for Campbell, this didn’t mean a free pass, it meant that I wasn’t going to judge him on W-L record. He is essentially a first time head coach and there were big questions how he was going to handle preparation and game day. I am growing concerned that he makes poor decisions and continues to double down on them even when they don't work. He has literally been doing the same things and hoping for a different result. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason for why he goes for it or not on 4th down. This seems to be based on his gut feel. He also continues to try and go quick, up tempo whenever they get into a 3rd or 4th and short with the hope that it will confuse the other team and instead it is the Lions that get confused and don’t convert. This has happened multiple times this season and there is still no adjustment. There have also been some horrible clock management at the end of half and games. The drive before halftime was another example of huge gaffes with playcall and TO management in a 17-0 game. I like his attitude and I haven’t given up but there still needs to be some coaching acumen no matter how much the players and fans love his rah rah. We saw how this combination worked before with Rod Marinelli and nobody wants a repeat of that.
  9. Agree. I am not sure who was saying that it did.
  10. Tater summed up my thoughts almost exactly. I’m growing concerned about his game management and decision making.
  11. 41-12, 44-12, 48-12 are all Scorigami. LFG Lions!
  12. Agree. He’s all talk and no substance.
  13. Anzalone has done what they wanted him to do after a slow start.
  14. I’d say SOL but this is a new level of bad. Destroyed 38-0 at home to an awful team.
  15. Trying to find an image to sum up my thoughts but I couldn’t find a picture of a shit show dumpster fire train wreck.
  16. Why isn’t Mel Tucker’s name at the top of the UM coaching wish list?
  17. I don’t think it will be money. MSU boosters have more of it than LSU. If he leaves, it will be to get back to the SEC.
  18. Walker is a complete beast. He put the offense on his back the 2nd half. How many times did he break 2 tackles and find daylight for a big play. He treated a few all big-10 LB and S like they were high schoolers.
  19. Regardless of what happens tomorrow, Purdue is going to beat MSU next week.
  20. Beach talks in the interview about how he became a different person after this happened. He was more difficult to be around, abused alcohol and drugs, and was a much worse individual than before the assault and the teams decision to do nothing about it. I think that damaged his chances at an NHL career more than being blackballed. Additionally, I am truly sickened that once again as was the case with Sandusky, Nassar, and Anderson, an organizations decision to quietly push away an abuser to avoid making a big story allowed that predator to continue adding new victims for years and years after it should’ve been stopped.
  21. The first sentence wasn’t needed. I get frustrated too at the depths that the woken will try to take cancel culture but in this case JT messed up and deserved to get dragged. You have perfectly outlined what he needed to say and he did almost the exact opposite.
  22. I see no reason why Slay won’t get a very warm welcome from Lions fans. He didn’t do anything wrong. Just another dude in a long line of dudes that Quintricia mistakenly thought the franchise would be better off without.
  23. You’ve got to assume that Tucker will play 8 in the box and challenge UM to beat them passing. The risk here is that both Corum and Haskins have the ability to make a man miss and they are off for a long 6. Also wont be surprised to see UM try to run a handoff pitch back flea flicker and catch MSU sleeping. Neither of these teams has really been tested since the B10 has proven to be so weak so it’s possible that one or both are frauds no worth their ranking like we saw with like Iowa, Wisconsin, and Penn State. I think MSU has better skill players but UM will win this game. Harbaugh hyped up Erick All to be one of the best TE ever at UM and he’s instead been a complete nobody thus far. I think he catches 2 TD’s and is the hero. UM 27 MSU 16
