  1. They did. Don’t think it’s as important now since defensive guys are so much more athletic. Can’t expect a back to do more than slow a guy for a second to buy time for the QB to get the ball out quick to a blitz option or maybe help on a double team block. It’s a bad play if you rely on the RB to actually make a good block by himself.
  2. Is Troy Weaver the new Bob Quinn?
  3. I was just thinking this team really needs another project big man.
  4. Pass blocking shouldn’t even be a qualifier anymore for RB’s. It’s a thing of the past. If an OC creates a play that relies on a RB to do anything more than a basic chip then it was either the flawed in design or the QB held the ball too long. Either way not the RB’s fault.
  5. He doesn’t pass block. You added that in as a qualifier.
  6. He had a very good Senior Bowl and is trending up. He’s in the discussion for 2nd or 3rd back taken so I don’t think he lasts that late unless there are issues outside the lines.
  7. If you are going to use pass blocking as a key component in rating these RB’s then make sure to cross Gibbs, Charbonnet, Corum, Achane, and pretty much every other skill back off your list too.
  8. DMB is a very different band than a Depeche Mode or RHCP. They are a touring jam band that makes their money on the road every year with an established fan base. They took the cash a few years back and signed a record deal so they have to put out a studio album every now and then but the studio doesn’t really doesn’t suit their style. Also, more than half the songs on the new album have been in the live rotation for the last few years including Madman’s Eyes. YouTube it and you can see if the live version hits any different for you. There’s one song on there they’ve been playing for 25 years but never made it on a studio album. Of course with any discussion of Dave Matthews, it must be pointed out that he doesn’t sing “like that” anymore. It’s been a long time since he sang with the weird cadence and odd sounds like he did when then first hit the scene in the 90’s.
  9. What a terrible first move. This is such an incredible lack of reading the room. They are coming off a huge harassment scandal and they put someone found guilty of harassment in charge. Don’t even get me started Isiah’s amazing track record of failure in every possible venture since retiring as a player.
  10. Fair enough. I don’t find it bad to that extreme but there’s a reason that I didn’t use the word. I find MTG particularly repulsive and a complete embarrassment to our legislative process.
  11. I didn’t think a Jersey native could be offended by a swear word.
  12. I’m thinking of a different 4 letter word.
  13. They have to address starting RG and top backup G either way this offseason. Big V may not want to renegotiate for less and Evan Brown is going to get FA money from somewhere and a shot to play Center.
  14. Very sharp. Like the next Whistle Pig sponsorship.
  15. I like Bijan. He stands out when you watch him and he was super productive playing for essentially the college version of Matt Patricia. Still, I don’t see him at a Saquan Barkley level. I don’t want to say it’s not close but it isn’t the same type of explosiveness between the two. SB is a special kind of talent that you take that high and don’t think twice and we saw the production right away from him. I’m not seeing that from Bijan.
  16. I don’t see Bijan coming in year 1 and making this offense more dynamic than what a slightly improved Swift could do in 2023. In the longterm, I think Bijan would have a huge advantage coming into the organization now versus when Swift came in under the prior administration of idiots. It’s completely different culture.
  17. Im still high on Swift. People dog him because he hasn’t turned into an every down back and has struggled to consistently find the holes. Those are valid concerns but he’s become a really good situational pass catching back. He’s also been lethal for us getting into the endzone. For me, rather than spend a high pick on Bijan, I’d prefer to run it back with JW/Swift again and maybe draft a Charbonnet, Spears, or Bigsby for insurance especially if Swift is gone after next year.
  18. How would you deal with the roster if they draft Bijan in the top 10. Are you re-signing Jamaal or letting him go? Would you trade Swift before the season or maybe even on draft day? Are you going to keep all 3 and hope that Swift somehow will be cool with it?
  19. Having Okudah penciled in as CB2 is exactly why they need to strongly consider adding many bodies to the CB room.
  20. I’m starting to talk myself into OG O’Cyrus Torrence at #18. He‘s a beast.
  21. It’s apparently a super deep draft at CB, RB, Edge, S and TE. I could see them passing on CB but at the same time I could also see them taking multiple CB’s too. Lots of room for talent upgrades.
  22. And if they don’t or he bolts.
