There’s one aspect of SOL that hasn’t changed. I hate to complain about officials but that crew was terrible. The decision to call penalties on some very soft stuff on 3rd down well away from the play was frustrating. Things that should’ve been let go were called repeatedly. I watched the Bills/Jets and Broncos/Vikes afterwards and it was shocking at how differently those games were called with specific regard to illegal contact/defensive holding/PI. -
I’m sure it’s already a sore spot they have to support the Commanders. Falcons head coach Arthur Smith is the son of the Founder and CEO of FedEx.

Talking a pause from the smack, trolling, excuse making, and all the other general trash in this thread, I think everyone can agree that this is pretty awesome.

Huge letdown game. Lions play like dog**** and make Justin Fields, DJ Moore, and Cole Kmet look like Aikman, Irvin, and Novacek. All of that being said, they still grit out a crazy comeback OT win. Lions 31 Bears 28 Jamo steps up with his most productive game as a Lion. -
I’d say both. This kid is a borderline psycho with weird pathological delusions of grandeur but you are absolutely missing something if you think he funded this all on his own.

Speculation that Stalions funding source, the mysterious Uncle T, is a board member of UM’s largest NIL partner. Still awaiting word on how he’s related to Ryan Day. Also, Bruce Feldman commented on Fox this morning that more firings are expected on the UM staff.

Crushing for them but the Bengals had a worse night. Lost a crucial game, lost their QB for an undetermined time, and are absolutely going to get destroyed by the league for not disclosing a previous injury for Burrow.

I know you’re joking but he’s not a culture fit. The Lions are on record about wanting quality people that do things the right way. That is not Slippin’ Jimmy -

He’s a pro football coach in his prime. I can’t see him being interested in the college game and all of the bs that doesn’t have to do with coaching ball. Doesn’t seem like a fit at this point of his career. The money would be nice. I don’t think it would be double but they don’t have state tax in Texas, so maybe. Either way the Lions will be giving him a healthy raise very soon. -
AI is evil. This is actually pretty f’d up.

He’s still recovering from a wicked bout of Pruritus Ani. Should be ready to go next Sunday. -

This should be easy clock management. Get a first down and win the game on a last play kick -

That wasn’t a low block. It was an attempted low block. Don’t know how the rule book reads on if that is still a penalty -

I think this is going to be a really tough game. Chargers are starting to come on and have been getting better defensively. I think this comes down to the end and the Lions end up a play short. Chargers 24 Lioms 23 -
Easy. Toledo shuts down the program and everyone becomes Buckeye fans.

I This could very well be but not much needs to happen for it to be Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon, and Louisville.

There is no overwhelming favorite once you get into the playoff this year. Whoever gets in will have similar shots. There’s no whipping boys that don’t have a shot in the semifinal like we’ve seen more years than not in the 4 team playoff era. Even the top teams this year Georgia, OSU, and Michigan are all noticeably weaker than some of their past teams. It’s anyone’s for the taking this year. Keep an eye on the Beavers. They ca ruin a lot of the plans in the Pac starting with an upset next week vs UW and/or one the following against Oregon. Louisville has a great chance to ruin things for FSU. Bama is coming on and will be a huge test for Georgia. UM/OSU goes without saying.
-
Cut the Chips some slack. They’re a tiny G5 program and don’t have the cheating mechanisms in place to do it properly like a powerhouse program of UM’s stature. I don’t even know the name of their loser coach but he’s like a child compared to a genius like Harbaugh when it comes to cheating.

Is it really great defense or is it an almost complete lack of offensive playmakers outside of OSU & Michigan? Where are the QB’s in this conference? Are there any outside of Columbus and Ann Arbor that are draftable pros even in the late rounds? I don’t see any. WR and RB are also so weak across the rest of the conference right now. It’s a night and day talent difference with playmakers between the two conferences. The Pac is loaded on offense this year. I’m not so sure USC flaming dumpster of radioactive dogpoo defense wouldn’t be a top 5 defense in the B1G. I do agree with you that UCLA will struggle with the move. They suck and are a basketball school.

This is as wide open of a playoff race that we’ve seen in many years. There are no dominant teams. I’d say there are probably 10 teams that would have a legitimate shot to win it all if they got in the 4. I expect the last 4 weeks of the season to be bumpy for the teams at the top.
