  1. Another casualty of being around Matt Patricia. He was fine with Caldwell and pretty darn good working with Lawrence in Jax. His only swan dive was having to work under The Slob.
  2. The jury is almost back on Holmes and Co. philosophies on drafting and building a football team. We should have a good amount of data after this offseason to make some logical judgements. One observation is they seem to like guys with college production that pop out on the tape even if they may be undersized or just average combine and workout numbers. If faced with a choice of a physical freak with lapses of disappearing in games versus a slower, smaller guy that constantly made plays, they would most likely take the latter.
  3. Timely that this just popped up in the feed.
  4. There’s a part of me that misses the days of 2 4 7 9 20 50 56 62
  5. It appears the remaining Pac-12 presidents have approved SMU and San Diego State for admission. They are also rumored to be interested in UNLV and Tulane to take the conference to 14. Not an ideal moves but they had to do something. Still looks like the bottom rung of the major conferences but maybe Oregon and Washington and Coach Prime can carry them:
  6. You know it’s bad when the GOP Newsletter aka Detroit News is printing it.
  7. I wouldn’t bitch about it. Ben would surely make good use of another weapon. I think at 18, they can find more impactful players that also play positions that are harder to fill. This is very possible.
  8. A life well lived. It sounds like he is with his family and at peace.
  9. We had a pro bowl TE last year and the team was better when he left. Zylstra and Wright proved to be just as effective in the red zone. It’s a deep draft at TE and I can see them taking one on day 3 but don’t think they need to think about it in round 1 or 2. There are better players at more important positions available.
  10. It’s common knowledge among magas that 2FA was created by a Soros controlled company and is being used by a group of liberal Transexual hackers to secretly fund Antifa and MS-13 as well as indoctrinate children with CRT and other anti-American hate. It’s believed that Joe Biden used 2FA to crash the train in Ohio and not blow up China spy balloons in time.
  11. I love how most draft gurus will say it’s best to draft BPA with a small emphasis on current need but 95% of mocks are based solely on current needs. As an aside, anyone trying to rank these CB at the moment is a complete guess pulled straight from their ass. There are 5 or 6 guys that could all emerge as top corner taken. They are all that close right now and it will be determined through combine, workouts, and interviews how they shake out. There’s no consensus yet.
  12. Not RW related but what happened last night in Anaheim is a great example of some of the silly things in the NHL rule book. Copley takes a cheap shot in the face from a guy skating by trying to be inconspicuous. He hits back super softly with the blocker hand. That’s a no-no. He should get a penalty. The rules say this is a 5 minute major, ejection from the rest of the game, and an automatic suspension for at least the next game. All for a few glancing blows responding to something the refs missed.
  13. My thoughts as well. It’s probably the deepest position in football and the easiest to fill roster spaces. If something falls in their lap via draft of FA then take a shot but they will have plenty of options next year.
  14. That’s a Bob Quinn trade. No thanks, Flockville. That name is about as clever as their trade idea.
  15. It would a beautiful thing if the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences nominated Tucker Carlson for a prime time Emmy for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. He would most certainly win.
  16. The purpose of a Fortune list level corporation is to provide a massive return to institutional shareholders and an even more massive windfall to top executives. How could they possibly accomplish that while actually paying taxes?
  17. Agree. LCA is much much better in every facet. The only issue is the ridiculous price of everything but that’s out society these days and just an LCA thing.
  18. This is the color commentator equivalent of pitching a no hitter. RIP to a real man
  19. I actually like Cade and think he will get to star level. Still in a results world without excuses and caveats, he’s been outperformed by Green, Mobley, Barnes, Giddey, and even Wagner. At least for the time being, there can’t be a free pass for that on Weaver.
  20. Why does a GM get a complete pass when a “no brainer” pick that everyone would’ve made doesn’t pan out. I never understand why we as fans do this and it happens in all sports. The GM of the franchise needs to be accountable for everything. That’s part of the job. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don’t. If he’s unlucky, it’s still on him. They are judged on results and not best intentions.
  21. Based on history, I’d say stay at 6 and trade up from 18.
  22. It’s not true the Ilitch’s only rehabbed one building. They redid that nice building right across from Comerica. You know, the one with the pizza shaped windows that houses Little Caeser’s world headquarters. Lol No doubt there’s some shady stuff with them especially with the amount of free money and tax concessions they are taking. I was just trying to point out why a normal area may see so many parking lots instead of actual development.
  23. Field is the best and it’s not even close…in fantasy football.
  24. Commercial development is a tricky thing. It’s a delicate balance of acquiring as much land as possible when it becomes available but you can’t develop all of it at the same time and risk overbuilding. Supply and demand still rule in real estate. If they build more they can fill, not only will the new buildings stay empty but rates on existing property rent will go down. Parking lots are a great way to buy time until it’s the right time to build. They’re cheap and easy to construct, maintain, and destroy and they bring income to help offset any taxes.
  25. Is that the one in the liquor store In Plymouth? If so, that pizza is great.
