  1. I hope they at least fed him before putting him back in the car.
  2. Does Jose Ramirez use Miggy’s nutritionist?
  3. If he has a productive season, he’ll be traded. They can’t risk him exercising his opt out without getting something in return.
  4. I get excited when I see Bally flash the Tigers lineup and the incredibly high batting averages. Until I realize that they are just very low OPS.
  5. Send me your social security and PIN numbers and I’ll see if I can help you out.
  6. Hope it’s a cold weather thing.
  7. Longest active affiliations
  8. This was a badass OF from the 70’s:
  9. Pretty powerful discussion with Gibby and Kapler re Parkinson’s and subsequent convo between Gibby and Shep. Strongly recommend to anyone who missed it during yesterday’s rain delay.
  10. I like the concept, and there have been a few executions I've enjoyed. Looking forward to what the Tigers do and just hope they don't F it up (like the Rangers did above). Would be cool to see a Motown or Motor City version. Just no teal, please.
  11. These two wins bring us to within 2 games of .500
  12. I can still feel the sting from the vibration of a fastball (probably 50 mph, if I’m being honest) against my ****ty aluminum bat.
  13. speaking of naming rights, I was involved with U.S. Cellular, a Chicago-based wireless company, when the Chicago White Sox decided to sell them for Comiskey. At that time, Chicago native, Joan Cusack (Sixteen Candles, School of Rock) was the spokesperson in our advertising campaign. The local sports radio jocks refused to call it U.S. Cellular Field, and instead referred to it as "The Joan." Needless to say, the U.S. Cellular team were not happy. Guaranteed Rate has subsequently purchased the rights.
  14. Only because you’re used to it over 20 years now. Lots of consternation and out cry when it opened. Many referred to it as the CoPa, as both shorthand, but also to avoid saying Comerica.
  15. Definitely will be a cold one tonight for the 100 who show up.
  16. Good list. Serretti is interesting—moved up two levels last year and off to a nice start. 6th rounder. Both he and Graham were college guys taken in the same draft, though Graham was a 2nd rounder. Graham was a preseason top-10/15 prospect, while Serretti was much lower. Is Serretti the better prospect now? Graham wasn’t very impressive last season and is off to a bad start at low A.
  17. The use of “women throwing haymakers” made me laugh audibly
  18. Agree—neither team will be in playoff contention, so I suspect it won’t get rescheduled if they can’t get it in today.
  19. The extremes that other teams will go to avoid facing the post-Baez incident Tigers.
  20. As long as the Ilitch’s own it, it will have a corporate naming sponsor. It would become Little Caesar’s Park, before they go back to Tiger Stadium.
  21. We have one player in today’s lineup with a batting average over .232 (Baddoo—.250). Here are the team leaders
  22. It may be, though. Our collective moods are like a roller coaster here—we lose 3 games in a row and it’s end days, and win a couple (again a similarly bad team), and it’s wine and roses. We really don’t know what we have in a relatively small sample. The offense is still bad. The pen has been unreliable and our starting pitching inconsistent. The offense will improve, but I think the other two areas are still questionable. we just need to maintain some patience and perspective.
